It snowed all day yesterday and lastnight. It is still drifting down slowly. My men are home with me today...one is goofing off in the back yard, the other is telecommuting...
Kind of nice to have snow after 3 years of drought.....

Ford out playing a couple minutes ago:

Wow! We got a bit of snow in Boise, but its gone now. The local ski hill is opening this weekend, and I want to go snow camping.

We got close to a foot in parts of West MI today. Some local areas may have gotten more.

West MI is gonna get whopped this winter with lake effect snow. I truly, truly, truly wish I lived there!

The pattern here for the last few years has been lots of snow in late December and then an occasional dumping the rest of the winter. How do you know we're getting a lot? Should I start stocking up on canned goods????

Ok, well I don't know for sure, but someone said the great lakes were warmer this year than normal, so logically we thought that meant more lake effect snow. Of course, I'm just suck in SE MI where its just brown and ugly all winter long. I guess I'm just hoping there's lots of snow over that way, wishful thinking on my part. :)

As long as you have some inertia meals and a backpacking stove, I think you'll be OK!

No snow yet below 3500. But it's snowing above that and US441 is closed through the GSMNP.

I don't expect we will get much more than wet mush in the Valley.

I've been full circle around NYS in the past couple days. No snow in Binghampton, Syracuse, Watertown, Potsdam. Was in the high peaks yesterday & Keene had no snow. I did find pockets of it on the outskirts, McCollum & Barnum Pond.(outskirts of Saranac Lk)The Catskills doesn't have any snow (where I live at 1700') either. Ice & dusting in higher elevations. My wife had to go down to Ocean City, NJ (for her Aunt & step-mother) & said it was 70.
