THE COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER IS ISSUING AN AVALANCHE
WATCH FOR ALL COLORADO MOUNTAINS.

IN THE PAST WEEK 2 TO 3 FEET OF SNOW ALONG WITH STRONG WINDS HAS
FALLEN IN THE COLORADO MOUNTAINS.

THE AVALANCHE DANGER IS CONSIDERABLE WITH AREAS OF HIGH DANGER ON
STEEP WIND DRIFTED SLOPES AND GULLIES. TRIGGERED AVALANCHES BY
BACKCOUNTRY TRAVELERS ARE PROBABLE TO LIKELY ON MOST ASPECTS AND
ELEVATIONS. THESE UNSTABLE AND DANGEROUS CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST
THROUGH THE WEEKEND. IF STRONG WINDS AND OR HEAVY SNOWS RETURN TO
THE MOUNTAINS THE BACKCOUNTRY AVALANCHE DANGER WILL RISE.

BACKCOUNTRY TRAVELERS IN ALL MOUNTAIN REGIONS ARE URGED TO USE EXTRA
CAUTION AND AVOID SLOPES STEEPER THAN 30 DEGREES...AND AVOID
TRAVELING UNDER STEEP SLOPES. SIZABLE AVALANCHES MAY BE TRIGGERED
FROM BELOW.

My wife had to go down to Ocean City, NJ (for her Aunt & step-mother) & said it was 70.”
