Clifty and RRG
The wife and I are planning a 3 day hike through Clifty Wilderness area of Red River sometime around the New Year. Never been to RRG, but heard it's a tourist trap (in the summer). Is there anything in or near Clifty that's worth the hike in the winter to see? Any trail tips/points of interest, so we dont freeze our asses off for nothing?

You could do a loop backpack of the entire Gorge in three days. Are you car camping, base camping, or what?

We will be camping wherever we end up walking. I would like to hit Clifty just for the simple fact that it is remote. But, I have a feeling that in the middle of the winter, RRG is pretty much dead anyways? A three day loop of RRG sounds nice. Which trails do you suggest?
