Please don't shoot

“Treebeard had to go to the radio station in NJ so i went with him. I droped him off and headed for the hills. The weather was perfect and so was the trail. Rattle Snake Swap trail near the AT. AS i set out I started to hear gun shots. But they were off in the distants. No worries! I was wearing my black down jacket and my green pants. I did not look like a deer.
just then I saw something off to my left. A lone hunter putting his rifle up to his shoulder and getting ready to look into the scoop at ME!.

so I yelled "HELLO, I AM NOT A DEER OR BEAR!!!"

He kinda laughed. I went my way up the moutain. I saw a great sunset and took some fun pics. I started to hear more and more gun shots coming closer.Then I remeber it was bear season, and I was wearing my black coat. OH CRAP so I took off all of my layers (yes it was cold standing there in my bra) and put my yellow undershirt on top of my coat. I was thinking that if they did shot me it was because I looked liked a freaked out HUGE bumble bee. So I high tailed it out of there. Ever try to run down a moountain in a foot of snow? not easy. So after a few butt flops and a few face plants I made it to the car safe and sound.

On my way home I saw the hunter and asked if he got anything, he said yeah. I asked if I could take a pic of it. He said no. I asked why. He said because it was to small for pictures. It was very small. not a buck, nor a full grown doe. EVIL BASTARD!!

I don't think he was allowed to be there. I have to find out.

But I will never ever go out without my orange fleece! I will always call ahead and find out about the hunting. I learned a lesson today. It did scare me, But it was very nice to get out anyway!

But, the point is not to take a large deer specifically but to take a deer. While killing a small deer may seem wrong, it's a deer and it is meat. The goal is generally to remove a deer from the population and fill one's freezer. And btw, the small ones are very tender. (mooohahahahaha)
