funny story, tree and myself love to shop at the TOP TOMATO

Sarge, one of my aunts (non-Italian) made a type of sandwich she called a stromboli---kinda like a hot pizza sub. Not sure if that was right, it's just what I thought it was. Calzone is more like a turnover or a cornish pasty.

Calzone is a nice alternative to pizza.

I just use a smaller ball of dough and roll it out to nearly the size of a dinner plate.

You can fill it with tofu and seaweed if ya like.

I prefer Italian sausage, asparagus, two or three cheeses and a bit of my excellent tomato sauce.

Fold that sucker in half and pinch the edges together.

Oh yeah, then ya gotta bake it......cookie sheet/cake pan(lightly oiled) or pizza stone(dusted with cornmeal).
