“Seriously, I don't get why some of you cheer people on when they do stuff like that, basically giving them your seal of approval. In the past couple of days there are a couple typically non-trolls, like Sass and divinity, who started the flame wars up, and it's okayed by many of you, laughed up, I guess because you assumed me, their target, must have deserved it. In neither case had I done anything to provoke them, yet they get a free pass. Why? Because they're girls? Either you want that crap on trailtalk or you don't. Don't get me wrong, I don't care either way ... but if you're going to condone it, don't think for a minute you'll be taken seriously when you tell somebody else, who only responds to those types of attacks, to stop because the behavior is destructive. You can't be taken seriously with that kind of hypocrisy, and it only reflects on you as poor judgment. Oh sure, your buddies will back you up and you'll chuckle and pretend like you have the upper hand in some bogus dispute that you constructed, but that's all surface stuff. You and I and everyone knows deep down that you're wrong for doing it. You can try to justify it, saying that my behavior MUST be the same as it was 3 years ago (yes, it has been that long), but that's silly, and ONLY serves to promote YOUR bad behavior. Do you want that? Is it fun, really? Time to grow up and move on for some of you people.

Anytime I point this out, somebody has to step up and say it's my fault (while giving no supporting evidence), and everytime it's the same old suspects who do in fact start up with the name callong and insults. People like thriftyhiker and y2, etc ... people who are 100% oblivious to THEIR own instigative behavior, or at least don't admit to it and think they have some kind of moral justification. It's unpopular to think Sassafras is "mean" (to use a relatively nice expression), but her behavior which instigates and provokes, says otherwise. Either call it out if you REALLY don't like that behavior, even (especially) if she is your friend, or don't be a hypocrit and pretend it bothers you if somebody else does it (or, more correctly, is presumed to have done it). If a friend of mine, girl or not, was doing that wrong behavior, I'd tell them gently offline that they need to reconsider their actions. That's what real friends do. By cheering them on, nobody wins. Don't believe me? Then you haven't noticed the mess this website is in from promoting that very behavior, while simultaneously concocting a false reality of how your perceived 'enemies' are acting.”
