then go do a week in Yellowstone.

The hills are pretty developed, I don't know if I'd really want to do the whole Centennial Trail, no real deep wilderness. You can get a good sense of the Hills hiking at Wind Cave, and then head up to Deadwood for a few days and have a good time.

It's beautiful, but we're surrounded out here by other options that offer some real wilderness.

Wind Cave was very cool.

According to my rough calcs, on a highway map, the Cloud Peak Wilderness is about 450 miles from Denver. Thats an easy drive up on a friday, spend fri, sat and sun nights out and drive home on monday. Two good hiking days in Cloud Peak.

Yeah, there's a hike up to a lake there, I think it's called Mistymoon, and then you can use that as a basecamp to climb Cloud Peak itself.

Destenation Question
“I have a weird question..I was told of a 12 mile hike in So Cali near the santa rosa mtns. I guess it goes to a old Native american ruins ( Rock House),,that is all the info I have and I am wondering where to try and find more info..Thx Free”
