What do you do to reduce fog in glasses, sunglasses and goggles. Are there goggles or sunglasses that are particularly resistant to fogging up? Do you think Cat Crap, Shaving Cream or some other trick works well for treting lenses?

I was pretty unimpressed by Cat Crap. When do you find it most useful?

Save your money. Any clear film forming substance will work, some better than others. SCUBA divers are known to spit on the inside of their mask lens and spread it around to reduce fogging. Petroleum jelly, mineral oil, chicken fat, vegetable oil all work. Put a very small amount on a small soft cotton cloth. Store it in a small zip lock bag or an old film canister. Just wipe it on the inside of the clean lens.

I rode/raced dirt bikes for 25 years. Fogged goggles was always a problem. Many little tricks worked for a little while, but in the end I always had fogged goggles. There are some solutions you can experiment with but I've never had any of them work 100% of the time. Most of them claim that you must apply it several times before it works well.

Like mtn gal said, give them a spit shine. LOL Hey...that works good for divers!

If you find something that works then let us know!

When I was a P.A.D.I. Dive Instructor, the best thing I've found was to spit on the inside of the goggle, wipe it around and quickly rinse.

When my ski goggles start to fog, I just ski faster to get more air flowing through them.

spit in your suit and pee in your googles!!!

a thin layer of toothpaste used to clean your goggles will help anti fog treatment
