Happy New Year right back at you!

Hey you Colorado folks, you are being forewarned...I will be making a trip to Colorado in early March :-) I'd love to do a nighttime snowshoeing trip, even though the moon won't be full when I am out there. Anyone game?

My new year got off to a great start yesterday. About 10 am my dad called from the park just up the road from his house saying he found a big iguana. I'm thinking "ok, it's a baby gator or something." Nope, it was an iguana all right, about 2.5 feet, maybe a little longer. I really wanted to keep it but I've a lot of critters to take care of right now, and I know HPM would've had a bit of a hissy fit over it. We took it to a friend, who already has quite a few reptiles. The lizard was in good condition, not too skinny or anything, but it did have some bad scars from some attack. It was cool, and had no problems with me handling and carrying it.

This iguana was an arboreal variety. He'd be happier basking under an ir light on a branch, honestly. Anyways there's no way HPM would let me keep it.
