“The Cheese Factory campsite is near Hiawassee, Ga.

from highway 17/75 (about 13 miles south of hiawasse and a mile and a half north of unicoi gap), take usfs road 283. it is on the east side of the highway. usfs 283 heads south and east for about 15 minutes. a few minutes after crossing the AT, make a sharp left on usfs road 79. in a few minutes you will cross the AT again. shortly after that, you will see a parking area next to a water source and across from a blue-blazed trail. park there and walk across the road up the blue-blazed trail to cheese factory campsite. email me for map”

ill be leaving kokomo between 4 and 5pm est. i will try to drive all the way to georgia and to the campsite that night, but may have to pull over for awhile and arrive in the morning. you all are welcome to arrive whenever you want. if i get there early enough, i will probably go for a short hike, probably to the next shelter north, and back.

im going to bring hot dogs and fixins. i assume smokygirl can bring her grill again. if not, please let me know. chili said he is bringing sodas. i would like to know what everyone else is planning on bringing and when they are arriving.

“We're in!! I just made the schedule for the next couple of weeks and gave myself that weekend off. Kamper was on call that weekend, but swapperd it. We're gonna bring burgers and fixins, tater salad, snackpacks, strawberry shortcake, and some beers. We're bringin our dog too.”

My collegue in Nashville is about to get all the Hooters in TN to use our service and he mentioned one in Chattanooga.

We have one in Alcoa, two in Knoxville, and one in Johnson City, also.”
