Well the consistency actually wasn't bad. The edges burned though, and then the whole thing tasted burned-y.

Most crockpot meals use alot of liquid. I make stew, beans, chili, potroast etc in mine.

fired up the crock pot this morning.

I soaked some Pinto beans and Ham Hocks over night. Drained the beans and poured everything in the pot. Added onions, pepper, garlic, oregano and crushed red peppers. I will cook up some cornbread and have some chow-chow to add to the beans. Ought to be some good eating the next few days.
