My wife is convinced that we need to get a sled for winter backpacking. It is a pretty safe assumption that she won’t be the one pulling it.

Anyway, she has taken a liking to the Paris Expedition. Does anyone use a sled on the winter backpacking trips? I am looking for pros, cons, and information on sleds and harnesses.

A search of this site using "sled" will turn up a number of threads with information.

I use a sled for winter. I prefer it cause it allows me to bring a few luxury items. I use the Jet Sled Jr.

nowslimmer is right. There are some great threads on this topic already. I believe one of them has a link w/ suggestions for the traces.

Have fun!

I've used a homemade pulk similar to the one in that link, works great for the most part.
