Cool site....
Check out this website to assess how safe for your health, the environment, etc, the health care products you buy might be. Some of the catagories are "cancer causing ingredients, animal testing, toxic ingredients".

Well, I guess it's a personal matter how much of a cancer causing or endocrine system blocking or reproductive system harming ingredient you want in your shampoo.
I personally would like to choose as little as possible or none. This site tells you what ingredients are or can be considered harmful. It doesn't address organic fruits and vegetables.

Sass, that's a great site.

I feel you should keep all toxins you apply or eat at a very low concentration. The reason being is there are so many ways to ingest toxins from food (pesticides, etc.) that you really want to limit what you can since it may add up in the long run.

It's like with dog foods. You switch off brands incase one has more toxins over another or gives more vitamins over another food which is also why people are supposed to eat a varied diet to avoid toxins that may be in one particular food.

Eat toxins; die young; avoid the late rush.
