Benefit for Bearmagnet

“I got an email from Dani, Bearmagnet's girlfriend, saying she and some of their friends are holding a benefit to raise money for his medical expenses. Well, 90% of the money will be for that, and 10% of the donations will go to the Lymphoma Research Foundation.

I asked if I could post about about it here, since I thought some people who didn't get the email might want to donate...and they said it would be fine! I told Dani I wouldn't post her info online, but rather give the details (who to make the check out to, where to send it, etc.) to anyone who emails me.

So just send me a note to the email address in my profile, if you're interested!

AND, apparently Dani is now his fiance!!! Who had bets going on that one? LOL! Our little Bearmagnet has grown up so much...

I was going to post it over on bp.com today.

He's doing good. When I saw him 2 weeks ago, he hadn't lost much, if any, weight thanks to Dani cooking. He has started to lose some hair. All his cell counts are good and he seems to responding well to the chemo. The nausea is under control for the most part. His attitude towards fighting this is really great. He's absolutely going to beat this :)”

Sarge got banned for real for good? Guess I've not been paying attention. I thought he just left. Plus I didn't miss him since he's on my ignore list.

I have a hard time believe that BM could have been Sarge. He just doesn't strike me as being the kind of person who has the time or energy to attack people with his holier-than-thou attitude the way Sarge did.”

I have a hard time believeing peeps that use different names and personas on Backpacker.com and here are completely on the up and up.

I used to use vicsaw over at backpacker, but then for some reason they disabled me. Have no idea why since I hadn't posted anything remotely close to violating any of their policies. Perhaps it was from disuse. So then I switched to Ruby at both sites. So much easier that way.”

as far as the banning-

i think i remember matt stating that some individuals would be on a hiatus.

then sarge started posting as the other troll and got busted by matt.

so my guess (just a wild guess) is that maybe bmag was given a short vacation from matt at the same time as sarge.

either that, or he's just concentrating on the MarthaStewartPacking.com site

i would be shocked if bmag=sarge. i just don't see it.
