smart phones

“Does any of you use them?
For me it seams they are easier then a laptop, I can access the net, and check email. That's all I really need them for. quick access to the net.

i am looking at the Treo 650. Got a great deal with cingular on a refurbished one for only $139. BUT verizon has the new 700 out, which runs windows.

Yeah, he prolly has the 650. the 700 just came out, but it's the only treo that runs on windows. I wonder if there is a huge difference. I heard the old 650 have a freeze problem.

I guess my problem is that I don't know if I should switch from cingular to verizon. lol. if the 700 is worth it to switch to a new mobile company. I've been with cingular for 8 years.

Those look pretty cool but are not for me yet....I just got that cell phone a few months ago. Still......might have to put one on my wish list.

“I saw on the news last night that you have to watch out for is that smart phones are more susceptible to computer viruses than computers are now. I'm not sure if there is any antivirus software for them yet.”

I did decide to switch service and to go with verizon for a year. got the treo 700 whooohooo... it's nice. I am like electronics, what can I say! I can visit trailtalk, or mapquest...it's pretty damn cool”
