DIGGIN' THE ROOT River Paddle Trip - May or June?

“Looks like the Root River has won out! The exact route is yet to be determined, but will likely be somewhere in the vicinity of Preston, Chatfield, Lanesboro, Whalan, Peterson and/or Rushford, Minnesota.

WHEN TO GO??!?!?

Here are possible weekends. I need to double-check myself for conflicts...

1. May 5-7
2. May 12-14
3. Memorial Day weekend?? May 26-28. Trip would need to wrap up Sunday as I am tied up doing reporter stuff on Monday, May 29.
4. Leave as is, June 2-4, which is also National Trails Day.

Let me know preferences, if any. Thanks!!

I have talked to my mom and dad (native Minnesotans and avid canoeists). They are interested in joining this group, but they are already planning a busy canoe-filled summer. Once you know your dates for sure, they will let me know. Personally, I like the June 2-4 weekend.”
