I just had my knee scoped and i'm still hobbling around (crutches in public, no crutches at home), but as it stands Kamper & I have developed cabin fever. We usually go kill ourselves on a long steep trail for a few days but that's kinda out. I don't care to Kar Kamping (ick). Where's a nice cabin near some fantastic overlooks. I'm thinking about Asheville or Gatlinburg. Any other suggestions?

I know how you feel man. I have a titanium plate in my left leg with 8 screws and a 12 inch scar. Been itching to get out but it will be another 4 weeks until I can walk. At least you gotta wife to help you out! I can't talk anyone into taking me car camping.

look at it this way Dub - no-one taking you car camping means you don't have to wonder if they are planning on bringing you _back_ from car camping

What happened
Wondering what did they do to the knee. I know I had my right knee scoped 6 years ago. Removal of the meniscus cartiledge. I was more or less off crutches in 24 hours, and walking with a cane for the next two weeks. Helen Georgia has some neat places. Eidelweiss....comes to mind.

There are some nice cabins at Fontana Lake near the Smokies and Nantahala River.

Bring out the Gimp.
But the Gimp's sleeping.
Well, I guess you're gonna have to go wake him up now, won't you?"

lol Opie! I ran into Johnathan & Steve at the pub last night. Angie got me out of the house for a few hours. I needed it.

I had an ACL replacement 12 years ago and developed arthritis, bone spurs, and a cyst on my meniscus.. about 3-4 months ago i slipped at work and really tore my miniscus. My doctor went in and cleaned all of that junk up. The bad news is that I really damaged my acl again and will prolly have to have that replaced again soon.

Spam- good call
Water Dog - Hobbs Cabin is about a 9 mile hike in or am I missing something (sarcasm)?
