I'm starting a movie club. Like a book club, but for movies.

I'm picking February cause it's my birthday.

Let's watch... The Constant Gardener.

Ok, go rent. Come back when you are ready to discuss.

How about Pixie picks this movie, and then someone new pick next month's movie, and so on. Then everyone can have a chance. And no one gets to complain about the movie of the month selection.

Watcha think?

BTW, I might be wrong, but I bet porn can't be a selection, BM. ;)

How about we create a list of 4 movies per month, or 1 movie per week.

I was thinking more along the lines of one day, but it pays to be optimistic, CB, good for you!

I like the idea Ruby! (oh yeah, sorry pixie! I like your idea even better!)

A better idea: one person buy a movie, then mail it to the next person who then watches it and mails it to the next......wait, where have I heard this idea before.....hey, who has the disposable camera right now?

Since it's Pixie's idea, she should pick the first 4 movies. Then maybe she should pick 4 people who each get to pick 1 movie each for March. Each of those people then also gets to name one movie-picker-outer for the next month.

I am absolutely positive that this will never get confusing. LOL

Watched Fantastic 4 with the kids last night while sitting on the couch feeling sickly and sorry for myself. I really liked the movie. The kids LOVED it.

I also watched The Island this last week. It was a wierd movie, a little corny, but the action was really good and I enjoyed it.

My wife and I have signed up for a FREE service called the Five Buck Club from Kerasotes Theatres. I'm not sure if Kerasotes is nationwide but I thought I'd pass it on. You can go to any movie that they are showing for $5.00 as long as it's been out for 2 weeks or more. Each week they email you the available movies for the service.

I saw the movie Munich tonight. It is not action packed but it keeps you intrigued. It is based on the book Vengenance by George Jonas. I checked the library and it is checked out with 3 holds on it.

The movie deals with the assassination's of the people behind the Munich Olympics terroist attack on the Israel Olympic Team

Ok, this thread is not to talk about what you just watched. You have to go to the DVD rentals thread for that.

Sorry for the delay folks. Constant Gardener became extra popular, and now NetFlix says "short wait." Doh!

Pixie, I started watching Constant Gardener on my cable.

It was so tedious, I started playing on the computer and half watching, till it became not watching.

Sorry, I tried. Not very hard but at least I tried. ;-)
