It was pretty good,A bit like the show that was on OLN awhile back but I dont think they had all the competition to get there. Of course they couldnt make a show like this without the rich ,blonde debutante(sp?) LOL Though she did pretty well from what I saw!”

Sir John Hunt only invited 'the colonial' because he had been there two years before with Eric Shipton in 1951. He was asked on because of prior experience through the Khumbu Icefall.

At that time New Zealanders were no more 'English' than other colonials such as Americans, but probably even a colonial would be more welcome to be first to the top than a 'native'. Political Correctness was a lot less inclusive in those days.”
