Guatemala?

“I'm going to be in Belize in March. I wanted to go to Guatemala for a few days. Does anyone have any input on safety there? I would most likely take a boat from Belize, seeing as how the border is disputed (buses stop at the border). I recently spent 3 weeks in Morroco, so I'm okay with "ruffing" it, just concerned with safety. I am awaiting the arrival of my Lonely Planet guide. Anyone been there recently?

“Landslides recently. I know it's affected their coffee crops. It has probably affected other aspects of their economy and infrastructure.”
