If AIDS can be called food poisoning, then Rock Hudson died of food poisoning.

Nigal, you are sooooo bad, lol:) It's so hard to picture Rock bent over. I always loved his movies with Doris Day. She stuck with him to the very end.

I liked the movie Giant. I remember being
pissed off when I first heard that Hudson
was a poofer.

The movie was before its time in dealing
with some controversial issues. It also
had an outstanding cast.

Since we're talking about gay people...Sulu or is it Zulu of Star Trek fame came out last year. Who would've thought....
Prior to that...I never heard a peep that he was gay.

I couldn’t agree more. My wife watches that video rag Entertainment tonight and it just makes me ill some of the things they hold important. But the thing that really makes me ill is that it’s on opposite Seinfield.

May I giv eyou a quote from the last time I skiied in Vail. There was a big Crowd at the bottom of the mountain. More or less they were blocking the lift line. I asked if there was a problem and some twit said,"OOOH (insert name I think it was Leonardo Decrapio) is up there."
I looked at her and said, well tell him to move his ass I came here to ski.

Or my Father's great reply to "The Boss".
He was flying out of NY on a flight to Dallas. He noted that Bruce was in the lobby surrounded by his crowd. My dad got his ticket and got on the flight. Bruce waited until the last moment then got on and sits directly across from my Father in First Class.
Everyone sits down, my dad is nursing a drink, Bruce is looking for someone to impress. He finally catches my Dad's attention (my father is studying some case notes) and says,"Hi, My name is Bruce Springsteen."
My Dad calmly puts his folder down turns and extends his hand," Bob G----n."
(insert nervous break). Bruce then says,"So what do you doa?"
My dad explains he is an attorney, then asks,"So what do you do?"
He loves doing that to self important people.

Haha! That’s the way I am. I think I have but one single autograph and that was Eric Sardinas whom I have immense respect for as an blues man. He was hanging out in the lobby between sets and I shook his hand and told him how much his music means to me and asked him for his autograph. Very nice, down to earth guy.

Last month at a concert Will Smith was sitting at the next table from us. I looked, saw who it was and then finished watching the concert. Everyone started swamping him when he left.

Wasn't Sal Mineo outed as being gay?

Nigal, I watched one of those entertainment shows once. All they do after every segment which is one minute long is keep telling you the other 30 topics that are coming up next over and over again. It can drive you insane to hear the topics constantly being repeated throughout the show. Then they wait until the absolute last minute of the show to tell you the thing you really tuned in to hear about. They save what may be the more interesting stuff for last. If I were your wife, I'd just tune in at the end.

Stove, Matt Damon was on some talk show, maybe Leno, and he said he made a point not to share his personal life with the public, so it really surprised me to hear Leno ask him if Matt stopped smoking. I never knew he smoked. Was it riviting info, no, but I was still surprised.

Never heard of "beard" before either.

On another tangent - Dani was explaining my Trailname to a shop owner in our hood. We were buying a few Sierra Club cards, Most of them of Bears. I try never to mention my name around here b/c of the other meaning of "Bear".

So while the F1 was in town last year....everybody was waiting in front of a hotel for Jacque Villeneuve (supposedly a famous Canadian F1 driver (although he never won)). My friends wanted to wait also as we were walking pass the hotel. I said, "Why, he's just an employee that drives a car? He's just richer than the rest of us....that's all. Would you guys wait and gawk at a plumber or doctor?"

LS, I remember the time after 9/11 we were on a routine alarm call and this woman comes waddling down the street crying. I turned and asked her what was wrong...she told us what heros we were....
That lasted for 6 weeks or so. The church people would stop cars leaving the parking lot if we had a call.

Today....LOL back to the old. I had an old man come up and cuss my engineer out for blocking the street during a car wreck one day a couple of months ago.
Heck at least here I don't face what some big city departments face. I have officers who have been sued becuase a victim was hurt getting them out of a fire.
Celebrity? Give me Nigal, or Mutt or you or any backpacker who lives their life in anonymity. We keep things running.
Want a cool feeling, (I do it around here alot). When I am eating and I see four or five uniformed military personnel eating dinner, pick up the check...look at them and just say, "Thank you." It is so cool the look on their faces.

Marko, if you are the real MarkO, because I thought he used a capital "O". When you've been on tt long enough you notice when people try to use other people's names.

If you are reading into what I said by saying they should take kick backs, that's way off course. How does a fireman get a kick back anyway? Please don't attempt to answer that with something ridiculous which it would have to be.

Someone mentioned Tom Cruise was featured on the cartoon "South Park", well here's a link to a discussion about if Tom Cruise made them yank the repeat episode or he would not promote Mission Impossible #3. Who cares, I never liked #1 or #2.

That episode was GREAT!! I never laughed so hard as hearing "John Travolta" implore of Tom Cruise -- who had hidden in the closet -- "COME OUT OF THE CLOSET, Tom , really, it will be OK. We'll still love you. Nicole will still love you."

Then Nicole asked him, too. LOL, too freakin' funny.

well I presume you heard that Isaac Hayes quit his role as Chef on South Park, because he is a scientologist and did not like them making fun of his religion????

the South Park creators replied to this by saying something like, we skewer all religions and (he is prejudiced or whatever) to react like this to that episode.

Me? I'm thinking there has been something of a recent big effort to squelch those "out-of-line" on scientology. Because, WHY did Isaac Hayes wait until the episode was going to be rerun? WHY did he not throw a fit at the time it was being recorded and first aired? If Hayes didn't go ahead and do it then, since he supposedly feels so strongly, I think someone urged him to do it now.

That episode told the "history" of scientology, which I laughed and thought was just a nutzo cartoon. But they kept flashing a disclaimer, " This is what scientologists really think." LMFAO! And damned if it wasn't true! ;-)

Maybe it will be "lost," like Katie Holmes nude scene in her latest movie. ;-)
