Reminds me of days gone by when my kids were cute and cuddly. We'd be walking in a store (or some damn place) and woman would come up and coo about how wonderful they (my children) were. I'd often reply that I could help them make a couple just like them if they were so inclined. They weren't:(”

I was thinking this the other day looking at Grace. She is almost forming full sentences now. It is sick how fast she is growing.

against our better judgement we've decided to put him in a baby contest this weekend at a local oktoberfest...we normally hate that kind of thing but he is just so dang cute we couldn't resist”

“They do grow up fast. Don't know if I told this but a few months ago I was at the Farm with my daughter when I got a call to go to an investigation. She tagged along and hung out on the road with the reporterette from the paper.
I was inside digging out the fire with some guys and we were discussing the various girls who lived at the house (young couple and four or five "friends".
Suddenly I hear the engineer on the Aerial Truck say, "I tell you what, that little blonde in the tan shorts is going to be dangerous in a couple of years.
I look across the room at him and said, "Trev, you know who you are talking about?'
He said, "no".
I laughed and said,"Thats my 11 year old daughter." (LOL)
He was shellshocked since he remembers when she was a little baby coming by the station to visit daddy. All he could do was keep saying how old he felt (we tend to consider other people's kids in the department as our own.)”
