CSI to use our harnesses tonightView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 46 of 46 messages posted.
“If I'm not mistaken, tonight is the night Sara wears our harness while checking out a chimney. A fire fighter is supposed to wear one as well. or not........ You can't always tell with these things. last edited: 2/23/06 7:37:12 PM” 7:36:52 PM 2/23/06 “define "our harness"” 7:38:23 PM 2/23/06 “The ones he sold to them.” 7:39:59 PM 2/23/06 “...is there a story here?????” 7:44:25 PM 2/23/06 “Na, just kinda cool. They called a month ago for advice on what to use, I recommended these and sent them two on a 30 day demo. If anyone wants the one Sara (I think she's the one) wore, we can start bidding at $300.00 ;-)” 7:47:29 PM 2/23/06 “...and who bought them......( I guess I am going to have to DRAG this out of him)....sheesh.......” 7:47:32 PM 2/23/06 “No one...we offer them on a 30 day trail so folks can see how they like them. They will send them back. We do the same for everyone from fire departments to Navy Seals.” 7:51:59 PM 2/23/06 “That's cool!!!!” 7:54:44 PM 2/23/06 “I'll be watching, just to see if they use them properly.” 8:05:48 PM 2/23/06 “Send me one for thirty days then!!!” 8:31:58 PM 2/23/06 “Naw, it's next week. I just saw the preview.” 9:01:50 PM 2/23/06 “Really....bummer dude.” 9:16:45 PM 2/23/06 “So was the harness the one they used to investigate the swingsets in the beginning of the show last night? Maybe it was the harness they used to support that 50-year old pruneface Marg Helgenberger's boobs? Good God, does she think she's 22 or something?” 8:42:13 AM 2/24/06 “Sounds like boob envy Doctor Laura. The harness is on next week. I figure I could have gotten more for it if Marg wore it, but I'll take what I can get. If the firefighter worn the other I'll let you have it for a steal.” 8:48:06 AM 2/24/06 “Send me one, too, Steve. I have an idea where Maple and I can get real "creative" with one of those! (nudge, nudge, wink, wink!!) :)” 8:52:10 AM 2/24/06 “There are a couple I would recomend.... I think you would like our Confined Space wristlets too......” 9:01:32 AM 2/24/06 “Thats cool steve....it is a sweet change from a swiss seat to a harness (LOL).” 9:03:50 AM 2/24/06 LOL “Swiss seats are so 60's. With a full body harness, with multiple attachment points, you can get much more creative ;>) From our website... These wristlets are comfortable enough to wear for long periods when they must be kept on. They fit perfectly and do not work loose. Special anatomically cut laminated foam encircles the wrist, and locking buckles keep them in place. Will also work well on ankles as a drag device. Webbing lanyard allows flexibility of movement without excess weight. • Meets OSHA/ANSI standards Link last edited: 2/24/06 9:09:01 AM” 9:07:50 AM 2/24/06 “30 day trial for climbing gear ?? Most climbing stores will not take any load bearing stuff back once it leaves the store” 9:19:46 AM 2/24/06 “Not climbing gear, rescue harnesses. We have a selection of 30 day trial items users can try. They must be returned in a "like new" condition and they are reinspected and documented after every use. These things are built to take a 5000+ lb load, letting a guy hang in one to see if he likes the fit, helps sell a lot of harnesses. Most rescue outfits do the same thing.” 9:26:31 AM 2/24/06 “I think you would like our Confined Space wristlets too......” mtnsteve 10:01:32 AM Ooo la la!!!” 9:33:09 AM 2/24/06 “Hey Mtnsteve I just completed a 40 hour rope rescue course last week. It was a hoot! It had been 15 years since I've been on a rope and it was with swiss seats everytime. The class III harness I wore was so comfy you didn't even know you were hanging upside down. We probably trained on most everything you sell. I was amazed how much confidence the new equipment gave me. It has to be good, I work for a major chemical company. If I have to do a confined space rescue it may not be a pretty site. The last thing you need to worry about is gear when entering a hot zone.” 5:24:34 PM 2/24/06 “Bateauxdriver...Congratulations!! I know how much work you put in and how difficult that can be. Who taught your class? I have done a lot of scary things in my life....the most nerve racking and stressful was confined space standby during the repair of a kiln. I was well paid, but man, I was a wreck for two weeks. The other three guys on the team were firefighters and they said the same thing. Take care and stay safe. last edited: 2/24/06 9:52:40 PM” 9:51:31 PM 2/24/06 “Got my training here mtnsteve. It is also where I attend annual fire brigade training. One heck of a training site. I be back there for two more days of rescue training next month. I've gotta try these new skills on a pleaure trip sometime this year. I didn't see CSI did they use your harness? http://feti.lsu.edu/index.php last edited: 2/24/06 10:07:40 PM” 10:06:50 PM 2/24/06 “It's next week's episode, bateaux.” 8:20:11 AM 2/25/06 OK “The harnesses came back today. It looks like the show will be on tonight. It appears that Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) wore the one harness. Bidding will start at $310.00.” 3:05:36 PM 3/02/06 “I saw a commercial for the episode last night and it looked like the other female character was wearing a harness. I can't remember the character or actress' names.” 3:37:07 PM 3/02/06 Cool “If Cathrine Willows ( Marg Helgenberger) wore the harness, bidding will start at $600.00 ;-)” 3:56:13 PM 3/02/06 “I thought of this thread tonight when I watched My Name is Earl. The scenario was just a wee bit different than CSI though. Earl and his brother Randy climb to the top of the town water tower, only to eventually break through the top of it. Fortunately they were wearing their "harnesses" which were really just pieces of rope tied around their middles and tied off to the top of the tank. Problem was that the tank was empty and the ropes were just short enough to dangle them a few feet off the bottom of the tank. They couldn't get themselves out of the rope, they couldn't climb the rope to the top, and they couldn't do anything about getting help out of their predicament. I thought, if only they had mtnsteve's harnesses instead...” 9:34:55 PM 3/02/06 “LOL, sooooo What did they do? Are they still hanging around?” 9:50:03 PM 3/02/06 “Ok...so all she did was wear it while she was on the roof. Didn't actually need to use the thing. I am disappointed.” 1:29:07 AM 3/03/06 “I saw CSI last night! I remember Sarah being on the roof, but I forgot to pay attention to the harness. Short attention span. ;-) I never used to watch CSI, and recently I saw an episode from what must've been like the first season or something. It was so weird! Their characters were pretty different...ol' Grissam actually hugged someone and was flirting w/Sarah!” 7:44:46 AM 3/03/06 “On Earl, eventually (took days) someone figured out they were missing and went looking for them. The fire department rescued them.” 8:07:03 AM 3/03/06 “Jorja wore the harness. It was a good episode.” 8:08:07 AM 3/03/06 “Doh, I forgot to watch CSI last night. Stupid Survivor was on at 8 so I changed the channel and never changed it back over to CBS when CSI came on.” 8:15:27 AM 3/03/06 “Well you will see it in repeats! It was a really good episode.” 8:18:17 AM 3/03/06 “I'm sure I will, I'm just mad at myself because that is one of the few shows I actually make a point to watch every week.” 8:30:12 AM 3/03/06 “It was a good episode, even if the harness shot kinda sucked. I was also hoping to see someone hanging in it....oh well. When I was talking to the guy I almost told him to get rid of that stupid hard hat with the flashlights all over it. In another show, I kept expecting it to fall off every time the gal looked down (no chin strap). I read somewhere that the enrollment for forensic classes shot up something huge due to this show (and the others). Places that had 8/10 folks sign up are having to turn students away now. It was kinda neat to watch everyone come in the office yesterday and check the labels on the harnesses. They all wanted to know if they made, assembled, inspected or packaged the one on the show.” 8:59:12 AM 3/03/06 “Saw it, but forgot about the harness at the time. I remember it though. Pretty cool for you and your coworkers, mtnsteve.” 12:03:49 PM 3/03/06 “Tuned in late, dangit. Only saw the second half. When's the repeat?” 2:58:56 PM 3/03/06 “Did anyone see it last night? I missed the last 10 minutes!!” 8:13:39 AM 3/10/06 “SOrry I missed the first 60 minutes...including advertisements....” 8:27:17 AM 3/10/06 “Yup. Kind of funny, they poked fun at themselves and other forensics-type shows the whole episode. The culprit was a guy masquerading as a fireman, with a foot fetish. He would light smoke bombs to get people to open their door, then would slam a mask on their face attached to the air bottle on his back. That bottle was nitrous oxide, which put them right out. He ended killing his last victim because he didn't take the mask off.” 9:49:08 AM 3/10/06 “Ahh okay, thanks! So they caught the guy then? Yeah that was funny about the forensics show taping them...sort of annoying after awhile, but funny. I liked when Grissom said, "There are too many forensics shows on TV."” 12:44:16 PM 3/10/06 “Can I use your Harness when they are done with it ? Friday night with hykergirlz ! Get ready babe !” 12:59:58 PM 3/10/06
