“Actor Dennis Weaver dead at 81




LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27 — Actor Dennis Weaver, best known for his television roles as the loyal, limping deputy to Marshal Matt Dillon on ''Gunsmoke'' and as the urban lawman with a cowboy hat on ''McCloud,'' has died at age 81, his publicist said Monday.”

“That leaves just James Arness (Matt Dillon) and Burt Reynolds (Quint) as the only "Gunsmoke" actors alive.”

“A scene where McCloud was riding on the side of a NYC cab wielding a lasso over his head comes to mind.

Of course, he roped his human prey!”

“Holy Smoke!!!”

“We are quickly running out of B movie and TV actors to run for President....”

“I thought his name was Chester Drawers.”

“That was some flick, fullmoon. I could never watch it again though.”
