“Noncon - it never really worked. What happened is you clicked the thumbnail which loaded the full size into your cache. Then, when you viewed the page, it was there. If you empty your cache it will disappear again. You thought it worked from the beginning b/c you already had it in your cache before you posted.”

“Is anyone else annoyed by the latest changes to webshots? I liked being able to see all of my albums on one page on my homepage, now I have to go through 4 different pages to access my albums. I don’t think I’ll be renewing my account this summer.”

“I'm talking about the private homepage where you can access your albums to edit and move them. It use to be all 47 of my albums would be listed on a single page with columns for views, date, photos, and downloads. I don’t know why they insist on changing things that worked fine to begin with.”

“I posted this in another thread, but thought I post it here as well. If you aren't a fan of Webshots, Google/Picasa is offering a web album service.

I take a lot of pictures while hiking, usually 100 or so on an outing. I choose what I feel are the best and post them on my website. To help manage all of these pictures, I use a program from Google called Picasa. It's a very powerful photo editing/organizing tool, and the fact that it's free makes it even better.

One of the features that Picasa has is the ability to export pictures to an online Web Album/Photo Gallery. It's nice because it does batch uploading, putting all of the pictures that you've decided to share on the web in a matter of minutes.

Here's an example of a web album that I created, and it only took about 4 minutes to batch upload all of the photos, and another 10 minutes or so to caption them.
