Seligman Arizona???View Messages“Does anyone know anything about Seligman? It is about 1 hour west of Flagstaff on I-40.” 6:37:17 PM 3/06/06 “Sorry, I am only familiar with up to and including 59 minutes west of Flagstaff on I-40:)” 6:46:58 PM 3/06/06 “Just shoot him!” 7:14:54 PM 3/06/06 “Seligman, Arizona Is it in the mountains? You might want to worry about the weather. I have not found an altitude for it, yet. Just shoot her. last edited: 3/06/06 7:24:29 PM” 7:23:28 PM 3/06/06 “Do you people realize who it is you're telling to shoot somebody??? Jeez! Don't ever tell Tango to shoot!” 7:47:01 PM 3/06/06 “5,245'” 7:47:11 PM 3/06/06 Silly boys! “First, I shoot first anyway! Shall I use my 9 or my stun gun? I think my new toy the stun gun would be fun. I've googled the heck out of it. I meant general, I've seen it stuff. It does get cold there mostly highs in the 50's and some 40's in the winter and 90 in the summer. I am flying there to look at a KOA. Wish me luck.” 7:52:17 PM 3/06/06 “i was just there 5 days ago!!! nothing much in the immediate area, but pretty darn close to some of the most amazing landscape i've ever seen. beside the obvious grand canyon; there's oak creek canyon and sycamore canyon. sedona and prescott are wild, gorgeous little towns and the jerome area is really neat too. take a drive down 89 to prescott, then take 89A back up to flagstaff, I-40 to close the loop back to seligman. i promise you'll thank me. tango, did i mention lately how smart and beautiful you are? last edited: 3/06/06 8:49:38 PM” 8:44:17 PM 3/06/06 8:46:36 PM 3/06/06 “26% of the men above age 15 are single! That's 52 single men, at last count! :-)” 9:36:29 PM 3/06/06 “Cindy Lu is in the Prescott area. Hmmm... a stun gun... I would like that for a toy. MOOOO HA HA HA HA waaaatch out!” 9:50:40 PM 3/06/06 “It's too small for any services ei. hospitals, doctors, libaries, movies, groceries, etc. It's 50 miles Williams and that's still too small, so another 30 miles to Flag for ANY shopping or anything. It's far enough off I40 that most people miss it, in an area that does not lead people off the highway. I don't even think the Snowbirds go there. Now that I've said all this negitive stuff, please understand, if I could afford Sedona I'd be there now, I did own a cabin in Prescott and am giving some thought to retirement there, and if Flag had a better Planning Commission I'd be thinking about it too. So I like the area in general, but IMHO Seligman is not worthy. My brother is a realtor in Flag. would you like his number? I'll bet he could help you in your search.” 10:12:20 PM 3/06/06 “Northern Arizona rocks! We are at about the same elevation as Seligman. it's been a very mild winter, hardly ever down to freezing at night, and very temperate in the daytime (50-70). Sacco's right about the Seligman-Prescott-Flagstaff loop. 89A from Flagstaff to Prescott is the "scenic route".Lots of sight-seeing and great scenery.” 10:14:30 PM 3/06/06 “EXCUSE ME!! That's the Ash Fork-Prescott-Flagstaff Loop. Seligman has nothing to do with it. Yes, Northern Az is amazing and there are many places where a RV Park would be a good investment. Seligman is just not one of them.” 12:11:10 AM 3/07/06 “I am traveling in that area in less than two weeks. Sedona is on my list to see again. Beautiful place. Way expensive.” 4:52:00 AM 3/07/06 bad place for an RV park? “it's 1/2 way between vegas and the grand canyon. 'nuff said.” 7:08:40 AM 3/07/06 “Why is it for sale?? Mary Phyl is somewhere in or near Williams. She told me that she hikes the Grand Canyon about five times a year for the past 33 years.” 7:17:23 AM 3/07/06 “Is that is the Stinkin' Desert??” 7:44:40 AM 3/07/06 “I think it may be off the Interstate, on old Rt. 66. Many of the small towns that were bypassed dried up. Probably good for the retired RV Good Sam crowd in no hurry, just enjoying the journey. Near Prescott, should be high desert and canyonlands.” 7:51:10 AM 3/07/06 “go to the "other side", look for Hnak, or ask about Hnak. He is in Prescott, I believe.” 7:51:55 AM 3/07/06 “How far to a Super Wal-Mart? RVers love that place.” 7:55:12 AM 3/07/06 “SS, ever been to the walmarts out there? i was surprised to see them all pueblo-beige style. pretty neat. boy, the things you see when you travel...” 8:29:36 AM 3/07/06 “most of ABQ is pueblo beige. Matches dirt.” 8:39:35 AM 3/07/06 “Excuse me Pathman, but that's pronounced Alba-turkey.” 10:59:44 AM 3/07/06 I agree its a turkey, “also known as Alba-Quirkie” 12:47:20 PM 3/07/06 “I haven't been there long enough to get to know it that well. But, maybe that's a good thing.” 12:55:47 PM 3/07/06 “always turn left at abq.” 12:59:15 PM 3/07/06 “Thank you for your input all. The campground is on exit 187 (I think) off I-40. It is for sale because the health of the husband. It is a good deal. Last year occupancy was up and up again this year. It is up for all the KOAs along the I-40 corridor. It is 59 miles to a Walmart, not sure if it's super or not. It would be the one located in Prescott. I am going out there on the 17th and back the morning of the 20th it's my whirlwind tour! Navi, thanks, if this one doesn't work out, I'd love to have that number. For my contigency plan I might just buy land and build. Of course all you guys know the FIRST thing I checked was the weather. I may have to suffer for a few years till my blood thickens up. lol” 6:46:43 PM 3/07/06 “FWIW, we have TWO Walmarts in Prescott, and one of them is a Super. :)” 6:53:49 PM 3/07/06 “Thank you Cindy Lu, I was hoping you were lurking.” 6:57:02 PM 3/07/06 “Good luck. I hope my assessment of Seligman turns out to be in error. I thought I was wrong once. Turns out I was mistaken.” 8:29:04 PM 3/07/06 “I didn't know it was possible to travel 59 miles in this country without coming to a Walmart, including Alaska.” 7:58:08 AM 3/08/06 Hey y'all! “We're moving to Phx this summer, so nachurly I'm interested in travel info. A little ways back when I first joined this site, we lived there in Phx for a year. So I recall all the names y'all are throwing up, and have seen some of those places. As it stands now, we'll either move in July, or in October. With some work scheduling prollems, we might not know until this summer. I've met many East Coasters, and a few of the Left-coasters too, so I look 'fard to meeting some of y'all as well! Mark0, wha's up!?” 2:42:06 AM 3/09/06 “geesh Tango, I am going to be in Sedona/Scottsdale the 20-29.” 11:19:37 PM 3/09/06 Everything but locusts!!! “I spent a wonderful 2 1/2 days in Seligman. It rained, sleeted, snowed and hailed!!! Very funny! (But it didn't scare me away) I ate at the Roadkill Cafe!” 8:20:00 PM 3/21/06 “Seligman is a great place to slow down briefly for. Can't imagine living there. Cutsey tourist, route 66 stuff, high desert. No services.” 8:34:37 PM 3/21/06 “I'm thinking stepping stone, not way of life. Maybe 2-3 years max.” 8:52:17 PM 3/21/06 Seligman,AZ “Seligman is the closest town before the turn-off to Hualapai Hilltop (60 miles or so away from Seligman) which is the parking area in Havasupai Indian Reservation. You can get mules here (or chopper down or even hike down) from the Natives to haul you and your gear 9 or 10 easy hot miles (depending on the time of year) down to Supai Village and beyond to the campground to the coolest waterfalls in the entire Grand Canyon. I prefer to hike down since my legs still work.” 12:01:58 PM 3/23/06 “How about Flagstaff? Would you live there?” 12:07:53 PM 3/23/06 “"Mark0, wha's up!?” naked ape 2:42:06 AM 3/09/06 Hi!! I'm doing another stretch of The Long Trail this July.” 12:18:06 PM 3/23/06 “Pathman, it's 2K higher, meaning colder, I'm stretching my limits already! I kinda have to go with what's available and a good deal.” 9:02:23 PM 3/23/06 “Flagstaff is for me, silly Tango.” 9:41:00 PM 3/23/06 “Flag is pretty but . . . Send MaryPhyl a note about Flag, she's a long time resident and would steer you right. When I go thru there I always get the impression it is a very small town.” 11:29:45 PM 3/23/06 “yall could visit me in mesa.” 1:14:05 AM 3/24/06 “Sup phil's son? We'll hafta hike sometime, we're looking for a home in W Phx right now. Sometime early Oct is our expected arrival date. I'd like you to take me that bunker thing sometime too. An yo MarkO, the Lawng Trail of VT eh? Well nachurly I hate you for it.......” 2:46:17 AM 3/24/06 “Flagstaff.. I've been through many times and a couple of summers ago we were staying in Sedona and it was 109F, so we headed to Flagstaff a couple of days. It is also the most expensive housing of all the places we are considering/interviewing.” 6:21:33 AM 3/24/06 “Whoops sorry, Path! I think we must all get together and have a welcome to the state party when everyone gets there!” 2:25:15 PM 3/25/06 “You all should check out ArizonaHikers.com when you get here. Good bunch of folks.” 6:02:18 PM 3/25/06 “. last edited: 3/25/06 6:06:48 PM” 6:06:25 PM 3/25/06 “I joined thank you Shawn.” 7:08:45 PM 3/25/06
