Monitor Color CalibrationView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 9 of 9 messages posted.
“Does anyone know if there a good website that offers free monitor color calibration. I never knew the color of my monitor was off so much. I was showing some of my webshots photos to a friend on their computer. The color seemed washed out compared to what I see at home. Now it could have been there monitor that was off but I would still like to calibrate mine. Any ideas” 8:26:52 AM 3/13/06 “If you have an Nvidia card there is one built into the software that came with it. You can get to it by right clicking on the screen and clicking on the Nvidia display menu.I suspect that Ati has one as well.” 8:36:30 AM 3/13/06 “normally its not a website but a device you have to buy to calibrate.” 8:36:36 AM 3/13/06 “There's a program for this that I once used to calibrate my color monitor which involved a physical template that sticks to your monitor with electostatic attraction. It included a program to help you change the monitor to match the template, as best as you see it. Unfortunately, I can't recall the name 'f the utility, but perhaps you can google for something like it.” 10:15:43 AM 3/13/06 “precision, are you talking about Spyder? I know it has a thing you attach to your monitor that looks like a spider.” 10:42:40 AM 3/13/06 10:51:36 AM 3/13/06 “That one is pretty good, but this one is far more accurate: http://www.colorvision.com/colorcalibration/a/cal_monitor.htm” 10:59:52 AM 3/13/06 “lol..yeah I bet it is” 11:08:47 AM 3/13/06 “One of the labs I use (WHCC) reccomends these programs for monitor calibration. eye-One Display - www.i1color.com Optix XR - www.monacosystems.com” 12:11:51 PM 3/13/06
