Lovely stuff, Rob. I love Torreya. I especially love the views from the bluff over the river.

Have you ever been to Falling Waters? That's another beautiful park in the area.

Thanks, Yeah, I love Falling Waters State Park too. Are you from the area??? Have you hiked the Florida Trail around Econfina Creek. The trail is a real beaut.

I live in Gainesville, Rob.

I've only hiked the Florida trail through Ocala NF. I've done the TT Ocala trip a couple of times, but couldn't make the trip out there this year. I spent three days hiking around St. Joseph's Penninsula, almost ten years ago, but we have such a short hiking season that mostly I go out of state to hike.

I do a lot of kayaking in-state. I've kayaked the Suwannee from Big Shoals to the Gulf. I've kayaked the entire Sante Fe, the Itchetucknee, and the Juniper Springs run. I'd like to kayak the Econfina. I'd like to kayak in Blackwater some time as well. I'm going out to Destin later in the year but haven't yet set my dates.

I've done the Silver River and the Rainbow River. I make trips to Crystal River and Homossassa every year for the manatees. I've kayaked in the Gulf out at Ozello. One of my favorite destinations is paddling the barrier islands around Cedar Key. I've paddled to Cumberland Island four times.

The panhandle is very pretty, but I don't get out there often.
