Heh heh heh... some of them get a to be a foot long in their first year. Looks like a doitsu, scaleless except for some big scales along the spine?

Here's a big tip... never ever use any copper-based treatments on a koi. They die.

tree, same for tetras.....NEVER. Its sure death.

Luckily, we have never had a problem with disease in this aquarium. We have two good filters on it. We have a walking lung fish in there that is over a foot long. If the koi gets that big, im gonna have to find a new home for him!

chappy, can you believe someon just GAVE us that snake???

A few days ago some woman in a pet shop came up to us. "you guys wnat a snake?" I thought she was full of it. She just gave it to us, tank and all, free. It was very dirty and badly kept :( We put it in a new cage and tossed the old one, gave it a heat mat and lamp to bask under, a swimming pool and it promptly ate 3 of our young baby rats :)
