Sacco's FYAO Mukluks

“Just bought a pair of Steger Mukluks after experiencing mukluk-envy from Sacco's pair at the most recent FYAO. They're boocoo warm and comfortable so props to my new buddy Sacco.”

“Steger Mukluks were last years Christmas present to myself...they were the only shoes I had at our 3 nighter in Pictured Rocks (MIchigan) 2 weeks ago..wonderful boots...worked great with snowshoes....

“Steger Mukluks were my gift to me in December 2001. Best snow footwear I've ever owned. Not much chance the past few years to wear them in Indiana. Didn't get much wear last December in Colorado Springs either. So comfortable, and warm.”

“Mine are New Traditional in black...in snow they are the warmest boot I've ever worn..the boots fit perfectly right out of the box...they never felt snug, just comfortable. I got a great deal on mine...picked em up for $99 last December at a Christmas sale..SCORE!”

yes, they still rock.
yes, i got mine 2 sizes bigger, and leave the insoles in.
nope, they don't feel weird or too big.

i use them as campshoes on alot of winter trips. they're so lite that i just carry them on the outside of my pack. when i get to camp i put them on. waaaay better than down booties. sometimes i just wear them the whole time and hike in them, but one problem is that they're too soft for crampons or to wear snowshoes with them from dusk to dawn.

looks: i think they work for chicks just fine. they look kinda gay on guys though so i don't wear them around town.”

“It's okay to look gay around the campfire? I remember the guys in germany wearing something similar in the 80's. they called it the ibiza look. don't ask me why.
They all looked a little gay though.
