Seeking Interview Subject
Greetings;

I'm seeking an experienced and knowledgeable backpacker to interview for some articles on backpacking that I am writing. Please contact me at MSBeltran@aol.com if you are interested.

Thanks,
MSB

Brrr... for someone named Sunshine, that's cold!

And bearmagnet... a hottie? I'll never tell-- I'll just let you leave it up to your imagination.

I am in fact legitimate, or at least my parents keep telling me so...

Seriously, though, I am legitimately interested in backpacking, which is what brought me browsing here. I've been to 30 states but never made it overseas. Then I settled down, had kids and got busy with the whole domestic thing. We decided we would try to take the kids on a backpacking trip to Europe in 2 years, when our youngest will be 7 and old enough to keep up, as well as give us plenty of time to save for the trip and plan it out well-- nothing too grueling to start with, just wanting to tour museums and historic landmarks.

And, I am a legitimate writer of magazine and web content articles-- I'm not looking to sell anything, if that is a concern. I simply get my article ideas from my personal interests.

As for the articles, they will focus on things such as tips and advice regarding such things as gear and backpacking locations-- tips and advice aimed at beginners and perspective backpackers. The website I'm currently writing for is expertvillage (I don't own it, I only write for them-- the publisher is Pagewise).

Best Regards,
MSB

You don't need an interview. Just query tht past threads. We have already discussed everything there is to know about backpacking about 15 times.

Now we are trying to fix the rest of the world.

Sounds like you have a great trip in mind.

For lots of excellent beginner advice, browse the "articles" page (link at top). After that, if you pose some specific questions, you will get a lot more response.

Hello, all. How's it going?

Actually, bacpac, while I'm enjoying reading some of the older post threads on the forums (wow, you guy's are a riot!), I do need an interview subject for the article... seems no one here is interested so no big deal.

As to where I've been, only in the USA so far. Camping/hiking in WA state, upstate NY, and Western PA. I was also known to pack a bag once in a while, catch a greyhound to somewhere and spend a couple of months wandering around cities and towns just to see what was out there.

And I have no idea what this "Got MILF? Are you bping in Europe or European bping in Europe?" means. But if you'll explain it, maybe I could answer it.

bping= hiking with your pack and camping in the woods

european bping= carrying your stuff with you on the train and sleeping in a hostel

Nonconformist asked: “What's your angle? What type of info/stories are you looking to write?”

My angle-- definitely not right; possibly obtuse, especially when I'm low on caffeine. I write on a number of topics: travel, new-age, parenting, homeschooling, education, women's issues, beauty, romance, etc... a quick google of my by-line, "By M.S. Beltran" will turn up a host of my articles if you're interested-- none of which are selling anything at all. I'm just a writer, I get ideas from things that interest me.

ductape writes:“MILF- mom i'd like to fuct.

Thanks for that clarification. Wow, I think I'm flattered w/that MILF thing. How sad is that, LOL?

I've done the hiking/camping backpacking, as well as the european backpacking (though in America-- is that still considered european bpacking when you do it in the states?). I guess for our european adventure we're planning with the kids, it would be european bping, though we hope to camp out for some of it and probably will stay at cheap motels instead of YHs.
