s-rge and i are hosting separate trips on the same weekend. that should put to rest any suspicion that we're the same person.

the jury's still out on whether or not s-rge is jimmy san

Yeah, The Pole Steeple Trail. A blue blaze in the Pine Grove Furnace area also is the exact halfway point of the AT.

does anybody else find it suspicious that when s-rge finally gets around to hosting a trip, its on april fools day?

I think it's suspicious that jackstraw started two threads for Sarge's trip.... hmmm... what's wrong with this picture??

I mean, I can see why someone might start a thread on the main board for someone else's trip (right crash? lol) BUT to then also start a "private" thread for a trip that's not yours?

yeah... Are you going there, too? lol

“wow!!! s-rge is actually going to meet some TT'ers. About time you decided to” - Ewker

It's about time you post something on trailtalk that doesn't have to do with being critical of me. You're completely obsessed.

lizs - I think that thread is private because it's the first one. It looks like he realized his mistake and made a duplicate thread minutes later. I'm assuming usually when somebody makes a trip they immediately start a thread for it, but I didn't do that. What are you saying, that jackstraw is me? I think people have met jackstraw already and I'm pretty sure they'd agree he wouldn't be me. You sound like nowslimmer, lizs. : )

When you start a thread from the trips page, you have the option of placing it on the main board or keeping on the trips page only.

I was just there last weekend. Hiked from just north of Caledonia and ended in Pine Grove at the furnace. Nice 2-nighter.

Had lots of excitement Saturday night to Sunday morning. Two hikers went missing and they sent out the search crews all night and then the state police helicopter and more crews Sunday morning. Got a wake-up call in the middle of the night by a search crew checking who was in the shelters/tents, and again at 7:30 by a ranger blasting his horn all along the trail in case the missing people camped off-trail.

The other 3 in their party shared our fire Saturday night and had been out for hours looking for them. We realized the next morning we saw the 2 missing people walk through camp and continue south the night before. They ended up getting found at a parking lot Sunday morning, oblivious to the fact that half the search crews in the county were out looking for them all night.

Hey Sarge,
Is the map on the site that Jackstraw posted the trail you intend on taking (7.5 miles)?

No agenda Reddawgy. That's a good bet though. Decent trail to a nice view.
