“It's mostly specialty or custom gear and lots of it is high quality, excellent gear. Expect to pay more, but if you hike a lot and it fits your style it may be worth it to you.”

“It's up to us. We have to pay a real price for what we buy. We can't continue to profit from the labors of people making the equivalent of 50 cents an hour. Much better for those people to be making inexpensive goods that they can sell locally. The wife and I try to only buy USA made not because of any issue other than we have to have jobs here as well. Over the years, we've had to buy other simply because there are none made here. I wonder how much it costs actually in environmental terms to make something here and sell it there, or vice versa?

We've lost those jobs over the last 30 years, but they still hurt. Many towns are losing like this overnight.

It rocks. I can put the whole family and the dog in there. I use it year round. It's esay to get a plus 90 degree temp difference inside with the stove in the winter.”
