I did a search
and found nothing about the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

I don't get cable, but have watched some clips on spikedhumor.com.

Dat stuffs hysterical.

Bush and Cheney make such wonderful targets for his dry humour. Not only that, but his people have great video clip of the bufoons totally contradicting themselves and lying out of both sides of thier mouth.

If they weren't running the country it would be ven more funny.

Anyhoo. I would encourage anyone who thinks Bush has been a dissappointment to take a look.

Those of you who like Bush can save your whining for someone who cares.

Jon Stewart is an equal opportunity offender. He doesn't just blast the Bush administration and if his show is still on during the next, I'm sure he'll go after them too.

i'll give ya a C on the troll attempt...good job using "the dailey show" as the thread title for a bush bashing thread but you would have scored higher if you hadn't put it in fuego ;)

You can watch the news headlines on line. This is the best part of the whole show IMHO.

Be sure to stop by and catch The Colbert Report's word of the day also:

I specifically posed my post in the form of questions simply to avoid any judgemental appearances and to stimulate dialogue.

Try this, get a video camera and set it up in the living room. Get nice and stoned with a buddy and just talk about stuff. Life, G-d, whatever. Then watch the tape sober and see what you think. I’m not even telling you shouldn’t smoke. I drink. I’m not going to pass judgment on you.

Actually you are right.

It was a weak troll attempt.

if I was being honest I would have said:

i think Jon Stewart's hysterical. I think some of his special correspondent pieces are hysterical (there was one I saw on farmed quail hunting after the cheney incident that had me in stitches).

I love the way they blend and cut current tape with older tape.

And I am sure that it would be as funny and cuttting with any administration.

Now the editorial: For me personally, I love when he is ripping bush and cheney a new one. It allows me to laugh at stuff I get way too wrapped up about.

Other than the Tour de France last summer . ..it is the most compelling reason I have seen to expand my cable coverage.

"and that ladies and gentleman, is the look where boners go to die."

Who caught Jon's interview with Jim Cramer last night?

Here's the full, unedited interview: http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=220534&title=intro-brawl-street-get-read-to

AHEM...was adequately addressed in Animal Farm in the Charachter of Squealer

His command of persuasive language and self-serving re-interpretations of facts illustrates the power of propaganda to control the under- and un-educated masses. Some authors have gone so far as to suggest that Squealer specifically represented the state-run newspaper Pravda. The problem with this interpretation is that it fails to associate Squealer with a specific figure in Stalin's inner circle.

He could also represent Molotov, fitting with Orwell's description of and central role given to Squealer.[citation needed] Squealer is a close companion and protege of Napoleon; Molotov was a close companion and protege of Stalin. Squealer serves mainly as Napoleon's "propaganda minister"; Molotov was Stalin's Prime Minister (1930-1939) and Foreign Minister (1939-1949) and constant spokesman. When the animals suspect that the pigs are breaking the laws, Squealer justifies their actions. For instance, when the other animals want to have the milk and apples, Squealer says that milk and apples help the pigs think; so, eating the apples and drinking milk would prevent Mr. Jones from returning. Similarly, Molotov was a constant apologist for Stalin, rationalizing Stalin's tyranny as being in the best interests of the people.[citation needed]

Face it..if you become Counter-revolutionary you must be expelled....I think the Daily show is essentially the people's (LOL) Court of this administration (LOL).

I watched it last night and was surprised at how meek Cramer was - I expected more give and take between the two, but what we got was Stewart basically lecturing Cramer, and Cramer cowering. Has he never watched TDS? Did he not know they'd play clips of the bad advice he'd given over the years? I actually felt sorta bad for the guy. He's not the sole reason for the meltdown, he's just symptomatic of the whole disease the financial shows have: they don't do actual journalism where they might ask a tough question or two of a CEO, they do fluff pieces and PR for their arsehole buddies on Wall Street. It's a sad commentary the hard-hitting journalism has to come from a comedy show, eh?

The best part, IMO, was before Cramer came out and they played the clip of him that day on Martha Stewart's show bashing pie dough with a rolling pin, and Jon says, "Don't you destroy enough dough on your own show?"

Don't screw with Jon Stewart unless you're Stephen Colbert.

I felt bad for Cramer too Kleety. I think he was caught off guard by those hedge fund Cramer clips. They were pretty damning.

I didn't feel sorry for him but I was surprized at how he took it...I thought he had more balls than that....Kramer gives disclaimers on his show...the market is risky and you might loose..

Stewart is a left wing hack, unabashedly so...
