Grizzly Bear song “Timothy Treadwell wanted badly for people to understand the beauty and majesty of the grizzly bear. Understanding the bears means, ultimately, respecting that they are wild animals. The events that unfolded could have been expected. At the end of the day raising awareness about nature’s living beings should include a hands-off approach unless there are specific circumstances that warrant protecting an animal population by relocating them. In this case, Timothy treated these animals with the same kind of flippant attitude as the explorers who believed that arctic extremes were merely “friendly habitats for humans.” Cichlid and Slooter have tried to capture the complexity of the Grizzly Man in a song.\\It is available for free download (as are all of our songs) at www.cichlidandslooter.com Please check it out and let us know your thoughts. Cichlid Joe” 5:58:28 PM 3/22/06 “Pass the pipe.” 7:07:59 PM 3/22/06 “better drugs than I had in my day, how do you bbq a bear with a treadwell in the gullet” 8:41:05 PM 3/22/06
