Pics from today's hike “I hope y'all enjoy the pics as much as we enjoyed the hike. It was our first for the year and we had a great time but it was cold. http://community.webshots.com/user/hikermike” 8:42:28 PM 3/22/06 “Very nice pics. It's on my list but haven't made it in there yet. How did you get to Sougdahoagee...follow the creek downstream from the lake?” 9:24:45 PM 3/22/06 “Thanks for sharing!!!!!....I have never hiked below the lake....guess I will need to!!!!!” 6:29:33 AM 3/23/06 Yak it... “when the water is up you can yak it...I've done it a few times....(ABOVE the lake that is...). last edited: 3/23/06 7:01:39 AM” 7:00:20 AM 3/23/06 “yes.....there is a stream above the lake that is beautiful....Mountain Laurel line both banks and it is an awesome site....” 7:43:34 AM 3/23/06 “Thanks for all the nice comments. We didn't come from the lake. We went in from a trailhead next to Brushy creek on FS255. I didn't get any pics of the creek itself (I'm an idiot) but the water was deep and a beautuful almost-teal color. We will go back to camp soon. last edited: 3/23/06 8:22:38 AM” 8:16:54 AM 3/23/06 “I tried to get into Sougdahoagee this Sunday but tried a more direct route down an old fire lane but had to stop at a 100 foot drop off about 500 feet from the falls. Could hear it but not see it :( It's hard to tell but I think I stood at the top of falls #5 and 6 from your pics. I did drive on down to where 255 crosses the creek and you are correct, it is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to take the yak up there. And speaking of: SuperTroll/SS - when you guys wanna get together and hit the Sipsey or Brushy (or both?) in our Carolinas one weekend?” 9:54:25 PM 3/27/06
