Maybe. Some also know me as Tim. Who are you on the other side?

I'm always "wanderer" on BP sites, for some reason I don't have any interest in portraying myself as anything different on site "A" vs. site "B", etc., I am who I am, take it or leave it, for good or bad.

That's my big issue with trolls... I just don't understand why one would choose to try to be different people in different setings... it makes me question who they REALLY are.. how could you possibly trust anyone who is so duplicitious? To me, a "troll" is obviously an untrustworthy character... if they were honest, above-board straight-shooters why do they hide / obfuscate who they are?

I've explained many times why I have two different names on two sites. You might even find an explanation on another "Bearmagnet" thread or even my first thread here. Has nothing to do with portraying myself "differently". Nor do I ever hide my "secret". LOL. Sometimes I post the same threads on both sites.

I've belonged to bp.com the longest. Any other site I'm on it's bearmagnet.

I do love y'all the most!

Actually, CB, you & BM are two of the people from TT (excluding the westerners I already know)I'd most like to meet & hike with. You're both consistent, which to me means stable & therefore worth listening to.

I figure it's not your fault, you've been sheltered & have very little exposure to the larger world outside Indiana... I don't blame you for being narrow-minded, you're simply uninformded. :)

Ped had me completely fooled. Then again, I can't keep anything straight on here.

Creek Dancer:

No, wanderer isn't my "real" name, although I have been teased by a number of backpackers who have hiked w me that it's an "appropriate" & "accurate" name since I have a tendency to "wander" rather than stick to a pre-defined trail! :)

The point is... I am consistent... you can hit at least 4 or 5 different backpacking websites & will find that I won't portray myself as 4 or 5 different people with 4 or 5 different personas. Here we are hooking up on the internet & going bp'ing together, and many are expressing their concern / questions over who it is, exactly, they're going backpacking with! In my case... people from a lot of different sites all know me (for better or worse :)) and therefore are comfortable knowing that, while I may lean conservative on some political issues (and lean left on some social ones as well!) they know I'm not an axe-murderer!

BUT... people who have 4 different names, 4 different sites... one might ask...who are these people, anyway?

But, then again... I have found that many, if not most, of the "trolls" who create their ficticious names for each site aren't really backpackers anyway... so that probably doesn't matter.

I get your point. My point is that anyone who uses a ficticious name on a website is hiding behind their real name - but they aren't necessarily trolls.

I have a different name on the other side (Cynthia). I had to choose a different name here because "Cynthia" was already chosen. That might be the reason some people have various names.

Why don't they have tape at hospitals that doesn't require the removal of skin upon removal of the tape, and the subsequent scrubbing with Brillo pads to remove the remaining glue?

can't make a nice tape that ensures immobility? I believe the Oco/BMTx Nurses used rubbing alcohol on the adhesive strips they attached to me for slo bolus injections. Didn't hurt at all but they exhibited extreme patience in the removal process.

Yes. Does that mean you're gonna stop taking drugs?

Honestly though, it was only the giant bunnies - New Zealand Albino (10-15lbs) that would scream. And mostly from nerves. But damn they sounded like a child being boiled alive. Not that I know what a child being boiled alive sounds like...................

Still, stop taking drugs and you end the pain of millions. Stop looking for new adhesives and you really stop the pain. Just got a flashback:

Tested a new adhesive bandage on NZ Bunnies back in '99-00. Shave a large spot on their back and slap it on for a few days. Their body temp is a few degrees higher than humans. The patches were basically melting to the skin. Every NZ screamed as we took off the patch. The lucky ones got an infection and were removed from study. The fungus looked like a thick hummus spread under the clear patch. We lost 2 new techs on that study.

Stop #&%!$ing about adhesives and save a bunny
