I have not, but I have seen two Cirque shows and both were good. The first was awesome. Much better in person than on TV!

The tickets for Jacksonville start at $70 each, plus handling fees which are pretty steep around here.

I watch them on TV whenever I can. I'd absolutely love to see a show in person.

I saw one of the shows a few years ago and was blown away. The tickets were around $50 then though. Knowing what I know now, I'd spend the $70 to see it for the first time for sure.

My wife and I were on the front row when we went. Our son was 6 months old at the time and he went to the show with us. We were at a conference out of town and didn't have a sitter. The stage was a square set 90* to the seating so that it looked like a diamond. Our seats straddled one corner. Two clowns were at the center of the stage. One had a scarf that was long and touched the ground. The clown started walking towards our corner. The other clown stepped on the first ones scarf. The clown kept walking with extra scarf stored in his clothes. He walks about 50' and when he gets to our corner he runs out of slack. The scarf is tied around his neck and pulls tight as he leans out over us at about a 45* degree angle. The only thing holding him in place was the other clown stepping on the scarf some 50' away. Keep in mind, he's leaning out over our 6 month old. We were some nervous parents.

Cavorting with clowns will lead to nothing but eternal damnation in the fiery flames with the great daemon Beelzebub. Don't come crying to me as your flesh melts from your bones from the heat of the brimstone...

Yo Eddy.....go see the show man!

Cirque shows are awesome....I've got tickets for Quidam which is a travelling show coming to Philly....but i've seen several resident shows and they are soooo cool.....by far my favourite live theatrical experience.....

Too bad Delirium isn't coming Philly....

If yer ever in Vegas, ya gotta check out "O" playing at the Borgata.....smokin' show!!

BTW....go to the Cirque site....sign up for the free club and after you get your tickets, bring them to the Club Tent at the show...if available, they'll upgrade you to better seats....it works!

My bro says Quidam is the best of the lot.

The first show I saw in person was Dralion, then Varekai. Dralion was better than Varekai. I saw Quidam on TV and hope to get to it in person.

I saw Dralion.

The androgenous vocalists were fabulous!

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

My date that night was a gay woman.

I think the first show you see in person has a certain wow factor. After that, you know what to expect.

I've been to 4 Cirque shows, 3 in Vegas and one traveling show (actually saw it twice). They are fantastic! I have always thought the money was well spent.

I've never seen a Cirque du Soleil live show...I've seen two of their dvds. I'm not too impressed with their shows....alot of flash, sparklers, smoke and shiny costumes. But I've the utmost respect for the performers who train so hard for their shows.

I'd seen two different Chinese acrobatic teams, a Ukrainian and a Russian team over the last 20 or so years....and they were alot better. They did not have as much flash....but they sure did more acts in the two or two and a half hour shows.

On a side note, I've also seen two Chinese performers (Cirque du Soleil) practicing their underwater moves for the "O" show...if I'm correct....the one where all the performers are swimming in a large fish tank...I think they've a permanent site in Las Vegas. I stand corrected.....

The Chinese, Ukrainian and Russian shows you saw must have been spectacular to make Cirque look like nothing but flash and smoke.

I think one of the things I like best about Cirque is the story in the acts. It's not just watching some circus performers flip around or juggle. There is quite alot of drama.

So Ewker, when are you picking me up for our date to Quidam? ;)
