When you two wanna grab the Carolinas and hit the Sipsey or Brushy (or both) one weekend?

I didn't think the Sipsey was runnable with a touring kayak.
Mine isn't made for whitewater.

Touring yak will do it...
I've run the Sipsey in mine....the Huntsville Canoe Club will have a Cajun Boil and will run the Sipsey or Brushy above the lake depending on weather and water level this Saturday, 8 April, 2006.

Many will camp at Brushy lake on Friday night, the site of the Cajun Boil. The River or creek runs will be fairly early on Saturday, with the Boil in the Afternoon...

See the WWW.huntsvillecanoeclub.org
trip calendar for the name of the trip leader, Bob Barnett.(Click his name for a phone number to contact him...)

I'm a maybe for that trip, depending on weather and water...

I can't make it that weekend. How about the last weekend in April?

Brushy below the lake looked very runnable this past weekend and the Sipsey/Bankhead map I have implies that is the suggested stretch as it provides mileage. Have you ever done that part?

it is kayakable at about 3.5'...but pretty shallow.....anything over 4' is good....5'-7' is great!!!!

...Stovie...there is only one set of rapids.......so I don't see why you couldn't go in your touring kayak....

...Sipsey is an awesome trip.....but it depends on rainfall!!!!!
