They have spent SO DA*N much time trying to deny God and show how THEY ARE GOD.

Wow, and all this time I had no idea I was doing either. Please Save Me Jebus!

The medical profession has received significant criticism for not taking prayer seriously as a means of healing. The prior studies which claimed a powerful affect for prayer (regardless of the religious tradition behind the prayer, by the way) were frequently cited as proof that medical researchers were ignoring.

Now, a Christian theologian might cite Christs renunciation of Satan's temptations in the desert as to why these results were in error. However, other Christian theologians and many non-Christians would be unimpressed. Scientists, however, do not refute research results on the basis of scripture. They test the results based on data gathering.

That the best you can do, Sarge? Tell you what, my pea brained friend, you let me do what I know I do well. You do what you do well, which is, spending about 16 hours a day being an assh0le on the internet, just to annoy people...

That's ok. You've listened on several occasions and acted like you were enjoying it. Enough to be considered a "repeat" listener.

BTW, I do get to see the numbers. It's not like I have to get them from a deranged nutjob on a BPing website. They've been looking pretty good for being in its infancy. Your put-downs don't mean much, little man!

Yeah Mutt, and granted I am speaking from only 15 years of experience but it is neat. You see the lost eyes, the self loathing from their failures to fill the hole in themselves with a bunch of stuff. They pretty much convince themselves that they are Too Big to be helped (LOL). Don't worry dude, when it hits, we will be here.

Mutt, never said that (LOL)...but I can promise you one thing...one day, you will believe.

LOL, one thing pops to mind. For a group who is so full of BS we are going to implode....you guys sure do spend a lot of money and time trying to PROVE we are insignificant. Its called FAITH for a reason. If it could be quantified and defined and proven, there would be no requirement to "trust" in the belief.

No, trust me - one day you will find out that your christian myth is bunk because that is the TRUTH, and no amount of faith will change that. Sorry, dude. I hope you don't feel too silly when the time comes.

I was raised to believe that there was no God and that my father’s belt was his prophet. After college I converted to Christianity and led a Christian life for I think about five years. At that point I rather abruptly removed myself both from the religion as well as the Christian culture for reasons that will remain entirely my own for now. I currently consider myself largely a naturalist, looking for useful information about the world I can observe by studying nature. While I find great beauty and elegance in naturalism, I also feel that naturalism is simply a convenient model to help me understand the world around me… a set of useful information that parallels a larger set of truths from the supernatural that I have yet to identify yet alone comprehend.

Ped...want to check out the various studies, programs etc meant to say GOD doesn't exist?

The cool thing is I am easy on that. See as Bear Says “XL likes to watch drug addicts squirm?” Yeah Bear I do. I like to watch them cry and hit the wall or reality that they are not incharge. Yeah it is cool I watch the really tough ones fight like hell until they can't fight.
Know whats really fun BEAR, sitting up till 4 am with an addict trying to talk them out of squeezing the trigger on a pistol at their head.
And you know the really tough part...15 years ago...they were me.

I don't think I would like to watch that, XL. It seems quite a few "born agains" are ex-drug addicts. Replacing one addiction for another.

Quite a few? Wow. I know "quite a few" born-agains from several denominations ... Wouldn't say "quite a few" are ex-drug addicts.

Sure, they exist, but hardly representative of the general population at all.

Somebody's been watching too much TV evangelism.
