YIPPEE! I fixed my stove!View MessagesViewing posts 1 to 6 of 6 messages posted.
“Some of you may have read about my Coleman Exponent Extreme stove which failed me by barely burning on my winter camping trip to Michigan's Pictured Rocks..well, when I bought the stove a decade ago I DID buy the trail maintenance kit..however, sometime during the last 10 years, the plastic bag fell apart losing half the components so I bought a new one and managed to decipher the directions enough to replace the filthy screen, gas tip, cam, finger plate and probe seal and it fired up like new! Now I know, replace screen every 10 years!” 4:50:21 PM 4/01/06 “Good, now I won't have to wait as long for you to melt snow for my water, next year. You can also bake me a cake while you're at it? LOL” 5:21:27 PM 4/01/06 “I now own, ncthiker, a Steripen so I can sterilize the water you get through a hole in the ice without boiling it! HA!” 5:24:56 PM 4/01/06 “How does the Steripen work, in cold water temps?” 5:30:52 PM 4/01/06 “Don't you love it when you can fix something old and dear? Good job Matahari!” 5:38:42 PM 4/01/06 “if the water's above 32F..it works fine...thanks Sassy, you're right...it's good when you're able to fix something you love....and, I like fixing stuff...it's what I like to do best at work.....” 5:41:48 PM 4/01/06
