Yellowstone & Tetons-DH moves west!View MessagesViewing posts 1 to 7 of 7 messages posted.
DH moves from Mississippi to the wild west! “Here are some photos that I took on my 2000 mile move from Clinton, Mississippi to West Yellowstone, Montana. A few of the Tetons and some photos while driving to work locations in the park before it's opening. Ill post a link of some grizzly bears and gray wolves that I took this afternoon at the discovery center/preserve soon. Does anyone on TT live out this way? Someone plan a trip out here dangit! I have yet to go on a TT trip... just been busy. I have not even had time to lurk on here in about a year. Anywho, if you live around these parts, welcome a lonsome southerner to your neck of the woods. http://thebackpacker.com/pictures/album/zzen0dat.php Hope you like the pics. I should have more over the next seven months of the season in Yellowstone. I think he lives in Billings, but also has a cabin in Cooke City.” 8:13:10 PM 4/02/06 “Thank you, the pics are great. There is a page that lists TT'rs by state and there is the map. http://www.frappr.com/trailtalkers” 6:28:22 AM 4/03/06 “Thanks MH, Matt, Tango. Hey! I like that frappr.com site. SWEET! I added myself.” 8:28:49 AM 4/03/06 “Nobody else? weak. Well, I hope everyone enjoys the photos. I saw a gray wolf with a solid black coat the other day and a fox that was almost solid white on the snow this morning. Animals seen: tons of Bison, Kestrel,Horned Owls, Bald Eagles, tons of Elk, Trumpeter Swans, Canadian Geese, several species of ducks, wolves, fox, kayote, Picca(sp?). Animals I have yet to see in Yellowstone: Pronghorn, Big Horn, Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Pine Martin, Pelican, Mountain Goats, Osprey, several species of snakes, Mule Deer, Moose, and I havnt seen any ground squirells yet... wonder why. It's only been a week! Many many wonderful things to see as the snow hopefully starts to melt off. Simply beautiful out here. Thank you Lord for such a wonderful place!” 2:15:16 AM 4/04/06
