I`m in Aranasa and we were hit hard by tornados three times already this year, 19 tornados spotted just around the tiny town I live in and that in just one evening.

I love in the foothills of the mountians and the tornados are buffed about by the range of mountians and I`m in tornado alley.

The place I own out in the country just west of town in the Bluffsprings aera is always hit hard and the land I own has lost three houses to tornados in the last 100 years.

I plan to build an underground house out there in the future, but who knows.Storms are a very real part of our lives here and we pay close attention to `em. We don`t fear `em as much as we respect `em.

I was night fishing night before last and we spotted three freaky lightening storms that skirted us, but the wind was fearce. We started seein` lightening streak across the western sky line and headin` in a north eastern direction and away from us, off to our right. We all thought it was so odd too, the lightening was so intence and continious, but one thing was missing, we never once heard the first report of any thunder, but later learned they were tornados. We guessed the sound couldn`t escape the force of the winds caused by the tornados. Odd stuff tornados.

...being a yankee, I never knew the extent of hurricanes....I am amazed......unusually clear skies before.......and after.....you should see the clouds tho........we are far enought North and on high ground ...(unlike Stovie!!!) to have to worry about storm surge....but the winds, and tornados are a threat.....and after...the skies are sooo blue and clear.....
