I am thinking about going to the PA Ruck with my friend Janet. Still working out the details though. Are you going?”

“Not sure yet - probably will depend on the weather and whether I can camp out somewhere. Is Janet thinking of hiking the AT or is she going to be a transcriber of your journal like SuzyQuee is for ALHiker?”

“We're both thinking about hiking the AT. Need to figure out the time, money and kids thing first.”

“Hey there HOI! The hike was really great. We did the Rockytop Mtn loop hike using the "lollypop" to circle back, a distance of about 12 miles. The weather was one of those cool, yet warm, days. Bright warm sun, cool breeze........

The water was flowing nicely in the run, but I was surprised that the flow was not more swift this time of year.

“Rockytop? I thought ya'll were doing the Rocky Mount/Gap Run loop? But anyways - glad you had a good hike - that loop usually kicks my butt hard thus I wait until later in the year so I have longer days and can hike it slower.”

“Yeah I'll be there.. I've hiked with him a few times... I'm doing Cedar run next weekend, the Rocky mount/Brown mount trip the following weekend, and the 27 mile April trip with the Williamsburg group..
