I don't have the time for that crap.

The no babysitter thing is a curse and a blessing. However I have a stong suspicion that will be a temporary situation.

I once heard my brother ask a lady why she was named Charlotte. She replied that her truck-driving dad was in Charlotte, NC, when he got word of her birth. My brother says "Good thing he didn't call from Intercourse, Alabama".
LOL!

Good luck with the move, y'all.

I suggest using the offer Citi and the agency made me as packing material. That's about all it was good for.

Well, that and wrapping up fish.

We are seriously thinking about naming our next child, if it is a girl, Charlotte. Not pregnant yet though.

Congrats!

We've been wanting to head up that way but never really had a good enough set of reasons to make it happen. This position changed that in a big way.

Well, it's 6 month contract to perm. I'm not selling my house for a contract. So I'll be doing the weekend commute for about 6 months or untill I know this is solid. Only untill then will I move the family.

So most likely we will become permanent residents of NC around the end of October or early November.

Treebait gets a new house for her birthday.

Damn, I spoiled the suprise.

Congrats HPM....always smart to move from Hurricane world to Charlotte. Great City I know my boss if from there the one time we went up to check some stuff I was really impressed. Note to file, you will after a few months notice you are not following the Hurricane season as closely. I moved from Savannah to Augusta years ago and I notice in September that I was not following the season like I did in Savannah....GOOD LUCK

So I still have meetings in my schedule and I'm sitting there while they lay out the master tactical and strategic plan for the remainder of 06 and into 07 complete with very specific details.

Ummmm....guys, are you sure you want me to be in this meeting? Y'all do remember that I'm going to work for one of our major competitors in another week right?

Oooookay then.

He has a meeting tomorrow with these people. I'm still packing everything for the vacation that this meeting is in the middle of. I called the hotel (just for tonight) to ask if they had irons in the rooms so I could iron HPM's suit and shirt when I got there. I had to wait for the lady on the other end of the line to stop laughing to give me an answer.

Well, was she laughing as in:

a.) Of course this fine establishment has an iron in the room.

or

b.) You think this joint has an iron in the room, what do you think this is, Motel 6?

Here is my resignation letter
Dear ____,

I am writing to you to officially tender my resignation from _____________ effective May 17, 2006.

I never thought I would leave such a great company as _______________, but when the opportunity arose to own and operate my own RV Resort/ Campground in the southwest (Arizona), which has been a long time dream for me, I simply had to take advantage of it.

I cannot say enough wonderful things aobut _________, about all the people I've encountered in my years of service to this company, and especially about all the others in operations and maintenance. I have appreciated the personal and professional advice I've gotten over the years. My experience at __________ has been rewarding and productive. I thank the company for giving me a chance almost 12 years ago, without that I would not be where I am today.

Best regards

I am on my way. My last day is the 17th and the movers show up June 2nd and I drive to AZ starting June 3rd.

I have 1 week with the former owners to learn how to run the campground. I sign the papers June 15th and then....

IT'S MINE, ALL MINE!!!!
