"I thought you looked a lot like you Pennsy"

I think I look a lot like me too.
"Jmitch" was mentioned and ENS and CP didn't pick up on it? Those boneheads.

Speaking of Mitch - I've been writing trip reports lately because our fearless trip leader has been slacking. Sorry, no pics this trip. Everybody was cameraless, but I will be breaking out a new cam this weekend on the Black Forest Trail. You and Rich should do the BFT with us this week.

Slacker - the temps were nice Friday night. It was supposed to go down to 30 but I doubt it got any lower than 35. It was just chilly enough to appreciate the fire when you walked away from it.

Rich - black flies haven't hatched yet. Some gnats and skeeters but no big deal. Ticks are another story as once again, I was the designated tick magnet.

The Trail Talk Boneheads spoke to him and inspite of seemingly obvious clues................none grasped the........the horns and tail.

I was on the TST 4/29 stayed at the site right on the trail next to the creek. I ran into the Boy Scouts hiking out towards rt. 402. Anyway some folks set up car camp across the creek they broke out gas power leaf blowers and a chain saw. I figured I was doomed to endure a loud night, but for some reason as soon as they finished clearing and cutting they packed up and left. Weird. Well to my point, how far past the site I was at to the "Fred Flinstone" site? If you would have to kill me if you told me don't, I was just wondering

The boyscouts were camping on Saw Creek, or near it, where the bridge is out, but the secret campsite is on the Bushkill Creek. The trail goes down a hill from the southern trailhead and then runs along the bushkill creek before it crosses Snowhill Rd. When the trail meets the Bushkill Creek, you can follow a small herdpath along the trail for about a third of a mile and that leads to the campsite, which is amongst hemlocks and on a beautiful bend in the Bushkill.

Thanks, I must have been just east of that site. I camped at a fire ring right on the bushkill.
I wouldn't normally camp on a trail like that, but I twisted my ankle on some famous pensy rocks and didn't want to risk going much further.

did any one happen to find a solar paneled stove? I left near a campsite on the Bushkill creek a couple weeks ago. It's a handmade little ditty. Made it out of foil. I think I may have left it in the fire pit. If anyone finds it, please lemme know. I'd like it back.
