She did. These days off were more tiring than hiking. We're detoxing at Miss Janets and hiking out of Erwin tomorrow.

It was nice meeting some more TTers.

Happy Trails

Nice to finally meet you greenmonkey and LMG. And just for the record, it wasn't me who looked up his kilt. You might want to check with Chili though since I hear he Jacked off OJ Simpson.

Hey!
600+ miles and a couple of months later, we're in Pearisburg, VA, chillin' out, doing laundry. Every day is an adventure. We hope to see some of y'all on our way north.

Hey Bearmagnet, we're hoping to make it. Is a kilt and t-shirt appropriate attire?

What have you been up to?
GreenMonkee

mainly hiking and backpacking. I had a girlfriend for a few months, but that didn't last (for the good), because I go hiking too much.

Things are good though..

If you can find a way to go to the Chuck Keiper Trip, that's going to be a good one, similar to the Black Forest Trail.

You ran into Lz and Jer on the LT?

you need a hiking chick. glad to hear things are well.

We bumped into them at the PO in Johnson, hiked with them that day and part of the next. The trail was super slippery, lil' Kim took a spill so we hung back and they kept pounding trail. They had a tough itinerary. Followed their progress in the registers. By the way, Early Bird, huh? ;)

ahhhh you saw that entry..

yeah, I hiked with her a little while on the Long Trail, she was really cute and very cool. I talked to her alot and she was great trail company. Turned out she was married, but I made a new really cool friend. I need to email her sometime.

Very nice.
It was cool to go through the registers and see people we know. You picked the gnarliest, most scenic section. Well done.

We'll compare notes soon enough.

Glad to see you and Kim made it to the end in one piece. I hope you had better weather on Mansfield than we did. We has nice views of the inside of a cloud.

BTW, I still hate Michael Bolton.

You guys saw Michael Bolton or was is it Bolton Hill/Rock?

That is a gnarly section of trail!
Did it remind you of "home", Zac?

Early Bird is a trail angel.......many a hiking man was smitten!

She left a trail of tears!

Sure did, above the clouds coming over the forehead, got some good pics. We hiked to the soothing sounds of a chopper airlifting antenna sections to the nose, a couple of Peregrines were freakin' out.

BTW, I still hate Michael Bolton.

I'm glad someone got the views, although we got some dynamic views as the clouds moved in and out around the nose and chin.

Did you stop at the Long Trail Tavern in Johnson? We missed out (we didn't feel like waiting until 3pm for it to open), but the guy we were hiking with (Freshman) told us all about the burgers and beer when he caught up with us at Roundtop.
