From Money magazine, the Best Jobs in America. I have the best one, apparently.

http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bestjobs/

From a side piece about unusual perks:

"Outdoor outfitter Patagonia pays employees to work for an environmental group of their choice for up to two months. In the past, workers have monitored wolves in Yellowstone and restored native plants in Hawaii. The privately held Ventura, Calif. company will also, "under certain circumstances," pay bail for workers jailed for civil disobedience related to environmental activism."

My job, architect, is one of the worse paying when comparing the amount of investment put in.

Strange...
They seem to have missed my chosen profession: US Government Civil Service Euphemism: DOD/Logistics Support Group

Pay is ok, and the perks are so-so...but the intangible benifits well......

They missed my career (court reporter/closed captioner) completely. I am rather surprised because of the good pay and the big need. And relatively speaking, it costs less to get the education and training necessary when compared to other fields.

I'm really surprised 'family farmer' is not on the list

of course, this is a fallout of the illegal immigration issue

for the abundant cheap labor allows the factory farms using massive chemical and fuel inputs and so producing crops with the appeal of cardboard

to make smalltime family farming a losing proposition.

FLASHER??? Where you gonna be working if you go with DEERE? They have a pretty big facility outside of Augusta and from what I have seen it is a pretty well run group. IMHO they are a good group to work for.

The Harvester works in Moline IL. Its' a very big place, makes the Burlington IA Case plant look small and its 1 million sq ft

OK got the phone call from the Guy at Deere, I'm looking at 1,100 more a year. Problem is I need a signing bonus from Deere so I can pay Case back the signing bonus they gave me. Due to the fact that I'm leaving before one full year of work with Case.

Hey, I'm on there...
Physician Assistant... #5 I believe it is. Interesting, they state that we get all the benefits of being a doctor without the paperwork and headaches. What a bunch of garbage. Funny, I had about 3 hours of paperwork yesterday.

Hey, #2 isn't bad! They have the pro/con stuff pretty accurate. Good news to pass on to my daughter now that she's decided to go for a Ph.D.

And I'm 40+ places above my ex, ha ha.

I'm a big Deere fan. I've owned my 318 since '87. Yeah, its not one of the big guys, but it does everything I've ever needed. When the engine finally gives up the ghost (1500 hours on it now) I'm thinking about converting it to electric.

It is by the PERFECT JOB

http://www.travelgearblog.com/archive/augmented-breasts-will-require-additional-inspection-at-airports.html

From which I quote"The TSA’s changes to the complete liquid ban may require persons with augmented breasts (or other body parts) to comply with further inspections at security checkpoints."
