Has anybody noticed that none of the libbies here has tried to defend the dems vote in congress? They just want to throw stuff against the wall (you know what stuff) to obscure the subject.

Well now we are hearing them build the Drive by media support for Impeachment (a thing the SPECIFICALLY SAID they would NOT do)

Are the dems trying to build Drive by media support for impeachment, or is Drive by media trying to build dem support. Hard to tell which is more enthusiastic for the idea.

Well seeing as how the giant majority of the media gurus identify with the Dems...I am guessing its a bit of both.

Funny how so many of the lovely people who ran out to Columbia County because they didn't want their property taxes to pay for Black kids' educations still crawl back into Augusta each and every morning to work.  Quite a few still work for the local government and leech their pay out of the city.

If their little Utopia is so grand why do they return to Augusta each day?  It's because white trash Columbia County would not exist without Augusta/Richmond County.

The hilarious part is getting ready to hit. If you City Council don't learn to drop the "me first" attitude...they are going to lose SOMETHING MAJOR BIG (LOL).

Vile Baby...please quote the section of the Original US Constitution that gives the average citizen the RIGHT TO VOTE? It is actually covered in the 10th which extends the right to the States......

Not section XIX that says the government cannot deny the right to vote....but where it says YOU HAVE A RIGHT. What that means is "it is a priviledge".

Now there is a RIGHT to Keep and Bear arms...but you know what I have to go through identification checks to get a firearm....

Face it the whole Identification to Vote is necessary to prevent FRAUD which we all know is the Hallmark of Liberal Politics.

OOOh here is another good one

Let say you are flying somewhere and you see suspicious behavior by a group of Islamic Wierdbeards. You do what you are asked and REPORT IT. Muck like the famed Flying Imam case...guess what?

The Wierdbeards are demanding the names of the people who reported them. So they can...SUE THEM!!

Now the Republicans in Congress wanted to add a rider (John Doe bill)

want to see how it did?

Yes means you want to protect Americans who report...NAY means you want wierdbeards and litigation attorneys to have a shot at anyone who is trying to report a crime...\\\

Democrats can't wait to surrender
Late Monday, House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC), the third-ranking member of the House leadership, told the Washington Post “that a strongly positive report on progress on Iraq by Army Gen. David Petraeus likely would split Democrats in the House and impede his party's efforts to press for a timetable to end the war,” further adding that a positive report from Petraeus would be “a real big problem for us.”

The Democratic leadership are clamoring to surrender before we win. What a bunch of scum bags.

WHWHAHAHAHA...Democrats ride again.

Well there was an Earmark bill passed (411 to 8) in an effort to make this the most Ethical Congress in History (LOL)....what did it do?

The bill was changed to make earmark disclosure voluntary rather than mandatory.

The requirement of 67 Senate votes to suspend the earmark disclosure rule was changed to 40 votes — less than a majority.

The language prohibiting a member or staff from promoting earmarks they would personally benefit from was completely eviscerated.

So was the language prohibiting a member from trading votes for earmarks.

The requirement that earmarks be put on the Internet 48 hours after their inclusion in legislation was changed to "as soon as practical."

The non-partisan Senate parliamentarian was replaced by the majority leader as the referee who would determine whether earmark disclosure requirements are met.

The bill also weakened other elements of disclosure and transparency.

So its kinda like taking say..a carjacking and making it more of a "traffic violation"...LOL

Lead on Dems.

The Democrats' 14 percent approval rating is, in fact, the lowest in the history of the Gallup Poll, which began back in 1973.

New Orleans Council Member Pleads Guilty
By CAIN BURDEAU, Associated Press Writer

Monday, August 13, 2007

(08-13) 10:45 PDT New Orleans (AP) --

The vice president of the City Council, once thought to be a likely candidate for mayor in 2010, pleaded guilty Monday to taking $15,000 in bribes from a prominent businessman and resigned from the council.

The councilman, Oliver Thomas, apologized at a news conference and said he hoped his troubles do not become a distraction to Hurricane Katrina recovery.

"I'm sorry I didn't live up to the faith you put in me," he said. "It was wrong and I accept full responsibility for this action and for using incredibly poor judgment."

Thomas was released on $25,000 bond, pending sentencing. He also said his resignation was effective immediately after 13 years on the City Council.

He pleaded guilty to taking the money from Stan "Pampy" Barre, a member of former Mayor Marc Morial's inner circle and a key figure in a long-standing federal investigation into City Hall corruption.

Barre is cooperating with investigators after pleading guilty in a separate case. Morial, now the president of the National Urban League, has not been accused of wrongdoing.

U.S. Attorney Jim Letten told reporters that Barre contacted Thomas in early 2002, asking him for help in maintaining a contract to operate two parking lots near the French Quarter.

Morial's second term was coming to an end and he could not legally seek a third consecutive term. Barre was concerned that a pending change in administrations would lead to his loss of the contract.

Thomas had influence as a council member and as a member of the French Market Corporation, a city agency that owns and manages the buildings at the edge of the French Quarter. Barre's contract was with the corporation.

In the separate case, Barre pleaded guilty in January to plotting to skim more than $1 million from a $64 million, 20-year contract for energy management services signed in the last days of Morial's administration in 2002.

Thomas's troubles come as the city continues to struggling with recovery from Katrina two years ago. The City Hall investigation and a years-long probe of the city school system have netted numerous guilty pleas, including other members of Morial's inner circle.

Barre funneled payments to Thomas through a middle man, Joseph Jourdain, Letten said. Jourdain, described in court documents as a friend of Thomas, pleaded guilty in the case earlier this month under a deal kept secret until Monday.

Jourdain received several thousand dollars in kickbacks, some of which were funneled to Thomas, court documents said.

"My greatest hope is that I will not become a distraction to the thousands of people who are trying to recover their lives, their families and their homes," Thomas told reporters.

Meanwhile, a violent crime problem in parts of the city has further marred the hurricane recovery.

"This is a body blow to a community already reeling," U.S. District Judge Sarah Vance said at the hearing for Thomas.

Rep. William Jefferson, a New Orleans Democrat, also is facing federal corruption charges. Sen. David Vitter, a Republican from a New Orleans suburb, recently acknowledged that his phone number appeared in records of a Washington area business that prosecutors have said was a front for prostitution.

Rep. Kennedy Will Keep Hsu Donations

Rep. Kennedy Says He Plans to Hang Onto Contributions From Democratic Donor
The Associated Press
By ANDREW MIGA Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON Sep 4, 2007 (AP)

Rhode Island Rep. Patrick Kennedy said Tuesday he's not returning $6,600 in donations he got from Norman Hsu, a prominent Democratic donor whose criminal past was recently revealed.

Several top Democrats, including 2008 presidential candidates Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and Kennedy's father, Sen. Edward Kennedy, have said they will return Hsu's donations or give them to charity.

Rep. Kennedy will keep the money because there is no indication that Hsu's contributions to him were illegal, according to his chief of staff, Adam Brand.

"We are complying with all applicable (Federal Election Commission) rules and regulations with regards to campaign contributions," Brand said. "If something changes with respect to those rules, we'll take appropriate action."

Hsu was among 16 co-hosts for a fundraising event in honor of Kennedy's 40th birthday at the New York Yacht Club in June, Brand said.

Hsu, a California businessman who remade himself into a New York apparel executive and benefactor of Democratic causes and candidates, turned himself in last week to authorities in California, where he had been a fugitive for more than 15 years.

"Norman is entitled to the presumption of innocence like everyone else," Hsu's Washington attorney, E. Lawrence Barcella Jr., said Tuesday. "His issue is over 15 years old."

In 1991, Hsu pleaded no contest to a single felony count of grand theft in California, admitting he'd defrauded investors of $1 million in a bogus investment scam.

But Hsu failed to appear in court for sentencing, a revelation last week that prompted Clinton to give to charity $23,000 in contributions that Hsu made to her presidential and senatorial campaigns and to her political action committee.

Liberal posters like to characterize Craig's arrest and his moral political al positions as "hypocrisy". But here is the real rub.

Conservative live and die in the election process by the moral standards most Americans accept for themselves. But Democrats have no standards for personal conduct. Want proof:

President Bill Clinton refused to resign from office despite his perjury and moral failings.

Senator Ted Kennedy was re-elected by Democratic voters despite driving off Chappaquiddick bridge drunk, refusing to report the accident until the police approached him the next morning. Mary Jo Kopechne trapped in the partially submerged car, did not drown for hours.

Rep. Gerry Studs, had sex with 16 year old male pages and was re-elected by Democratic voters.

Rep. Barney Frank hired a male prostitute with public funds who turned the congressman's home into a male brothel. The Democratic leadership made Frank chairman of the powerful House Banking Committee.

Rep. Mel Reynolds, convicted pedophile for having sex with underaged Pages and sentenced to prison, was pardoned by Bill Clinton.

Congressman William Jefferson, Democrat-Louisiana? The FBI found $90,000 in cash in his freezer last year. Democratic voters returned him to office.

Congressman Jack Murtha, Democrat-Pennsylvania, discussed taking a future bribe during the 1980 ABSCAM sting. Democratic voters returned him to office.

Democratic Congressman Dan Rostenkowski, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, was convicted, yet the Democratic leadership in Congress let him serve right up to the moment he was hauled off to jail.

But the Democrats are not hypocrites, they have NO standards.

Democrat voters don't care what elected Democrats do. Slime and sleaze are just fine. On the other hand, Republicans do care.
