“we discussed the R2R trail and also garden of the gods. Stompy and I have been trying to get to GOTG for about a year now. Maybe we should welcome Crash home with some place new? Any interest? Sounds good to me.”

“I have been to the Garden of the Gods and would like to go back I don't know if there is a trail right there the Shawnee National Forest is close I don't know if they connect.”

“r2r goes right by gotg. this time of year, shouldnt be nearly as many tourists. twould be a good time to visit, since it gets pretty crowded in-season”

“my first hike with chinmusic was a section of the r2r that included gotg. we started at some horse camp, and finished just outside some small town. i dont have my book with me, or i could give you better details. nice, pleasant walk”

“I found a website that has a trail guide for $23.oo how about map for free?”

“Is that guide for the entire River to River trail, Coyote? That would explain the price. Chin said that trail is about 180 miles long. That's a lot of maps.”

“Lemme try to get Ductape on this deal. He has some bad ass national geographic software. Perhapse if you know the section of trail you want to do we could get him to e-mail us the map, then we could print and laminate it like before. That custom topo maping stuff is super cool!”

“Garden of the Gods National Park I think the close town would be Harrisburg”

“Oh. Let me see what I can dig up before we bother him. Give me a couple days.”

“Don't worry, it's coming. Snowing hard here in my town but it started later than predicted (around 6am). It's supposed to dump a foot on us throughout the day.”

“Everything good go out and back home yesterday about noon just a little sore.After talking with the Family I think I need to find something about 50 miles that would give 1 day to drive 5 days to hike and 1 travel home day.Still like to do something on the AT.I thinking about going over to the Adventure Summit In Dayton on Saturday to get out of the house.”

“Anyone interested in doing a short overnight hike this weekend? Thinking about doing part of the tecumseh trail. Start Saturday afternoon 5 miles in, Sunday 5 miles out. Be home by noon. Might look at more mileage on Saturday if anyone is interested. E-mail me.

“Meangreen if you decide to join us, you could park at Richards Road on Saturday night and hike in. I think it's about a 2 mile hike to the shelter from there. On Sunday, you can decide how far you want to hike. I'm sure one of us can help with cars.”

Me and Atilla were on the Tecumseh trail last week! Went from Yellowood Lake to Prang pond and back. Hard to hike in all that ice, but it was very pretty with all the snow!! The trail is in great shape!! You outta go on that LBL trip, looks like it could be really cool.

“Hey y'all. I'd love to go out with you guys as a shake down before the big show, but I have a Friends of the NRA fundraising banquet to go to tomorrow night. Ever been to one? They are a blast! Loads of games and great prizes.They are giving away a $1000 AR-15 along with about a dozen other guns, and tons of gear, artwork, jewlery, and home interior stuff for auction, or raffle. “It was a good hike. The shelter is good as well. The only thing that might have turned out bad was it started to rain just about the time we were ready to hit the trail. So we waited it out. Then the Sun came out and stayed out the rest of the hike.”

“Anyone interested in a long day hike on Saturday? I'm thinking 8-10 miles. Maybe Low Gap?”
