All is well in my neck of the woods. We're supposed to get another 3" tonight though. Things are gonna be pretty crappy tomorrow. Sorry to hear about your in-laws Windi. Hope they are ok, and they had insurance.

NWI was pretty much spared the worst weather, though chicago got some twisters and lansing got a very mild one yesterday.

Hey All!!
I was on the Adena Trace as well as Golfhiker, Bear Bag and Daughter (10 years old!!) Me and Guitargal went out to meet them about halfway and they bailed after Friday nights rain!!! Too bad, Saturday night turned out great!! We went swimming and the moon was out!! I got some pics to post. Maybe on the next thread.
See ya later.

Glad everyone survived all this crazy weather. We were in Terre Haute for the big flood a couple weeks ago for an adventure race. The race got black flagged. We had an adventure of a entirely different sort just tryint to retreive my daughter from a friends house and get out of town.

terre haute was a mess for sure...my bro-in-law was trying to drive from vincennes to indy, normally a 2 hour drive, but it took him 7 cause he couldn't get through terre haute...finally a state cop told him to follow a semi through some back roads...the semi had about 8-10 cars following him to indy

I was planning on a pate hollow overnighter for the weekend (not this one but the one after) solo but if you'd like to meet up there that would be cool :)

It would be fun to get down there new years but I can't be gone for that length of time as mike will need the car (he only has one day off) I was thinking warren woods state park, but thats a bit of a drive for you.

Water at the pennisula. Other than that, I don't remember any other sources.

I'd hate to think that you would have to trudge thru ankle-deep mud to get to the lake, if the water level is down.

“I was just gonna ask if the water was easy to get to LOL!...been there done that knee deep mud thing”

i had to build a rock "pier" to be able to filter some water... i'm sure the lake level has to be closer to normal by now.

Since I was only thinking of a day hike, I would carry enough water. Are you thinking of an overnighter? If so, are you thinking Wed-thurs or Thurs-Fri?
